Hi, I started vaping a year and a half ago, I was hooked from the first choking hit, lol. I was a diehard smoker that said I'd never quit. I didn't know at the time I was starting a different kind of addiction... This one is much more fun.

I was the last one within my group of friends who finally quit smoking. Tried many methods before vaping...that finally got me off the smokes. You're right - vaping is much more fun!

Another big difference is also that I actually have something tangible to show for the money I've spent on vaping, unlike the money spent for my smokes for 42+ years! I have much better smelling clothes, body, car, house, etc., along with improved health benefits, too!

So, yep - I'll gladly keep this habit of vaping and all that comes with it. Sounds and looks like you will, too!

Some of you are nuts.

I'm in my 3rd year of vaping, and I just bought my fifth mod. The only reason I've bought this many is because my first one died 3 months after purchase, and my second was a mech mod which has become a paperweight because I prefer regulated mods. The third mod was underpowered (30W) for what I wanted to use it for and the one I'm currently using doesn't have the accuracy or multiple TC wire support that I want.

I'll probably go at least another full year before I buy a 6th.

I own about 10 tanks, but six of those sit in boxes unused. I rotate between 4 tanks now, and that's good enough to keep me happy. I'm considering buying a new RTA, maybe in June for my birthday.

I"m not quite as tight fisted as you but close. The way I keep it that way is I noticed that I only use what ever is my favorite setup. If a new mod or atomizer isn't likely to be the new favorite I pass. But it is fun to buy stuff so I shop Fasttech for the little bits and peices. I've got a size run of rubber o rings, thrum scissors, half a dozen of the drip tip I prefer, etc. A little package of 1 and 2 dollar items every few months seems to keep me happy. If government interference gets closer I'll be back in the market to top off supplies for the 10 year trip to Pluto. I hear vaping is not regulated there.

When it comes to mods I really don't see any reason to buy or use more than one. Mods are just battery packs. They all do the same thing. So why have 20+ mods that all do the same thing? The only reasons I've bought new mods is because of the evolution of the industry. My first regulated mod flat out failed and had to be replaced. My second regulated mod was a 30W mod which was the most powerful mod you could buy at the time. My 3rd regulated mod was one of the first cheaper (Less than $100) temp controlled mods but only supports nickel wire, doesn't have upgradable firmware, and has a few little issues that I don't like about it. My new mod that I just bought is cheap, holds 3 batteries, is more accurate in TC mode, and supports Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel wire. Unless this mod fails I don't see any reason to buy another one in the foreseeable future.
