Hi all! I just got a Volt 808 e-cig and I really love it but I was wondering if there was anything else I could put on this battery besides cartomizers and atomizers that isn't more expensive than cartos and will give good throat hit, vapor and flavor. I just don't like atomizers. I really like the Volt cartos A LOT and think they're awesome but i can't help vaping until the carto is totally dry! I guess I'm thinking of something that holds juice to keep me from vaping my cartos dry! Someone mentioned getting a tank which sounds cool but what size and how do they work? Any tips or advice is appreciated! :) Thank you!

I use the chibi tank from parksvaping. For $8 you get a tank and a punched carto already assembled. I needed that first carto already punched so I could see what exactly to do..now I punch my own. There's many more out there.. madvapes sells some nice, inexpensive ones too.

Thank you so much!! I'll check them out!!! :)

Ikenvape sells mega cartos for an 808.

My mom has some. She looks a bit like cruella deville with her xl 808 and the long carto but whatever works.

LOL about Cruella Deville!! I agree with you on "whatever works"! I'm realizing that looks aren't as important to me as much as having a satisfying vaping experience so I'll look into those! :) Thank you!

Hi kblush, I also vape mine until dry, I stop as soon as I get that " dry taste" and then I refill. It's worked fine doing it that way and it's never killed the carto, always taste fine once I refill it.

Hi! I've had a chance to use more Volt cartos now and I'm also realizing that it's been totally fine for me to vape them dry. For me, all of a sudden it will have a slight burnt taste and then I will refill. The carto isn't burnt though but it must just be the atomizer getting really hot without juice or something because as soon as I refill the juice has been delicious as ever. I do wonder though if my vaping it dry is what causes me to not have a carto last with really good performance longer than two days?? Can you tell me how long your cartos last? I have been vaping almost 5ml a day. Thank you!! :)

A lot depends on what you put in them. Liquids that are dark in color, high in VG or have a lot sweetener added will shorten the live of them. My 3 main liquids are SI Desert Joe, V4L WOW Vanilla and V4L Wowboy, With the Desert Joe and the Wowboy my cartos will last a month or more, with the Vanilla I get about a week from them. I have used some liquids that have killed them in as little as 3 refills (BWB Vanilla)
I also rotate two cartos of each flavor, that seems to help extend the live of them.
Hope that helps.

Edit to add: I try to keep liquids around an 80/20 PG/VG blend

That is so strange because Wowboy is my all-day vape!! I think I must just have incredibly bad luck because so many people say their Volt cartos last a long time! Thank you for sharing!!!

UPDATE: I was thinking about what I may be doing wrong, if anything, and I came to these possibilities. One, I am just beginning my vaping experience and was trying many new flavors looking for my all-day vape (which happily turned out to be Wowboy with maybe a little cotton candy to soften it) and I have been washing them a couple of times and maybe that shortened their life? Also, since I was dealing with a bunch of cartos, I wasn't keeping exact track of how long each one lasted. Also, I might have been throwing some away when all they needed was a good refill when the taste got funny. I'm going to track exactly how long the one will last that I started at 7:00pm last night. I hope I was wrong and that they will last me for days because I really love them!!! :)

I never had good luck with cleaning them, I just use the until they get they get yucky then toss them.
I also have 3 to 4 flavors going at once so I'm not constantly on the same carto, I think that helps the live span.
Good luck to you. I'm sure you'll find what works best for you, sounds like your on the right track.
