I've noticed since using Reo's and rda's that my appetite has gone down drastically. Last night I sat down for dinner with my family and realized I hadn't eaten anything since the day before at about 2 p.m. :blink: I never once experienced a hunger pain in all that time so didn't think about eating at all. So I'm going to have to start watching the clock and make myself eat if this continues.

The only thing I can figure is the nic absorption must be much higher with the Reo/rda's compared to the device/topper I was using before and it must be curbing my appetite. I could stand to loose a few pounds so it's all good there but I'm sure eating just once in almost 24 hours is not good!

I think you are right about the nicotine. I've been having trouble falling asleep since I got my Reo. I tend to vape a lot in front of the TV before bed. I made a DIY Lemon 0mg nicotine VG/distilled water blend last night for vaping after dinner until bed. I'll see how that goes. Food tastes better since I've been off the smokes for 2 months so I'm still eating the same!

K31- I have trouble sleeping sometimes as well, mostly if I vape my 12mg juice past 8 p.m. and it's gotten worse since I started using my Odin. It must be the coil set up in the Odin increasing my nic intake. I've been countering it with 10mg of melatonin at bedtime and it's helped. I bet your Lemon at 0mg nic will be what you need to get to sleep.

I found that vaping replaced my snacks. It seems I enjoy pear marzipan torte juice more than cookies or banana bread (or real marzipan, for that matter). As a result, I lost 10 lbs in fairly short order and have kept it off for over a year.

In my case, it was switching a comfort activity and driven by flavour reward. I'm still hungry enough for meals. If you're being artificially carried by meals from the nic for a whole day, prolly best to back it off a smidge, at least to see if it is, indeed, the cause.

I'd suggest you switch to a different flavour juice when you reduce the nic. That way, you don't have a direct A/B comparison and won't notice the drop so much. Once you get used to the characteristics of the lower nic, swap the old flavour back into rotation.

I went from 18 mg to 12 mg back in my time with KFL's - really noticed the change in any of my ADV's, swapping to a juice I hadn't tried in a while eased the transition.

Going from 12 to 6 with the reo, however, was easier as I had more control over the vape characteristics and just adjusted coil setups to approximate the 12 mg feel.

I actually have some 6mg juice coming today and they are both new to me juices. I was going to add more nic to them but I'll try them as is for a few days and see how it goes. I really like my TH, don't want to loose that. Iffin I have trouble I'll have to hit you guys up for advice on coil placement/build etc to help ease me over. Thanks Papa!

Something to keep in mind: you must eat small healthy snacks ATLEAST.

Nicotine increases central nervous system activity but does not curb your body's need for energy.

So,

Your body will catabolize muscle before fat (why most people's attempts to go on a "diet" fail when not combined with exercise) and you will lose muscle mass if you don't feed the machine. Stimulated / fatigued muscle burns fat

Grab something like a low / no fat yogurt, or some cashews or a piece of toast with peanut butter in between meals - or in your case, as meals no matter how little you feel like eating unless you want to lose muscle / tone.

I try to eat 4 small meals / snacks every day with a sensible dinner.

I drink a lot of water and 1% milk too.

And get out there and walk. Walk as many times a week as you can. Mix in intermittent short jogs to your walk when you feel ready.

Trust me, you'll get fitter and slimmer by not skipping small meals and 30-40 minutes of light cardio a few times a week :) and if you can throw in some light resistance training you'll maybe get your the best physical condition since you were a kid :)

Thanks Super! I do prefer to eat sporadically throughout the day, and I usually do (just not the healthiest stuff), then I'll eat a big dinner. I've had breakfast maybe 5 times in the past year and an actual lunch occasionally. Usually though just a snack midmorning and again at lunch. I just couldn't believe that I had gone that long without feeling hungry, I would have thought my body would have been screaming at me by the time I realized I hadn't eaten. I guess caffeine and nicotine will do that.

I was walking a few miles a day four days a week until a year ago when I changed jobs. I'll have to get back into that, and that should help with the trouble getting to sleep as well. I just gotta find my willpower first lol! It took off and hasn't come back yet. ;)

Not Reo related but I did drop to 6 mg once I started dripping. Now I need 6 mg drip juice and a higher mg tank juice. Probably should just save for a Reo to simplify my vaping.

I did the same. When I was using genisis type single coil, mesh wick RBAs, my norm was 10 to 12 mg nic. when I began using drippers, even pre Reo, I had to drop to 6mg. The nic delivery is just so much more efficient.

I've gone from 24mg down to 6mg as i used better atties. None of it was intentional and i never noticed any of the drops in nic at all.

18, 12, 9, 6mg. It stemmed from a comment my wife made one time, to the effect that "you don't need the nic - you like the hand-to-mouth thing and blowing clouds".

I've not gained weight, but i have lost none either. There are apparently a few people on diets that use vaping to help them taste the desserts without actually eating them.

Super T, you didn't notice any reduction in TH at all? And was this all done on sub ohm set ups? I'm wondering if sub ohm will be better than higher ohm coils for keeping the TH up there where I want it. I did try some of the 6 mg juice that I got today on a 1.5 ohm coil in my RM2 and the TH definitely wasn't were I want it to be.

I've found sour juices simulate more throat hit ...... I can rock a sweet tart juice 6mg lower than others and get the same feel.

+1 on the pear marzipan torte. Love it with my morning coffee after breakfast. Satisfies the sweet tooth (not that I wouldn't eat a big ol' Cinnabon if it was in front of me, though). Vaping it right now, I am. Reminds me I need to order more:)

Not yet. You French Canadians are anyways a bit more evolved when it comes to food than us Germans. The bratkartoffeln have to be made in duck fat thats for sure and the schnitzel is just fried and than with some lemon juice on top heaven.

Yeah, but have you tried Schnitzel mit brat kartoffeln juice?
