So I have been off analog cigarettes for about 5-6 months now. I am still using my first ecig purchase which is the Blu. I have found a liquid that I love to refill my carts with and I am really enjoying it.
My Blu was working fine until this week. I had two great carts that seemed to create tons of flavor and vapor and when they died I tossed them and hoped the next cart would be just as good. Well they aren't and I am stressing big time. I'm almost ready to go back to smoking!

I charge the battery and on the very first drag it blinks to signify I need to "take a break". I have tried several carts and different batteries and chargers and nothing. Still blinking and barely a puff of vapor. Argh!!!!

So is something wrong with my Blu? Should I try returning it while it's under warranty? Or is it time to move on to a better ecig? Any suggestions on my next step? I need help!!!!

Thanks!
Dee

I would say to move on...Blu's are very entry level and not highly thought of around here, other than that...if you just havvta have a ciggy sized unit, look at the Volt from smokelessimage.com ...if you're looking for a real stepup, goto liberty-flights.com and look at the Rivas...continuing up the scale, is either the KGO or E-Power from hossierecigsupply.com...all of those are solid, dependable units...with the Riva/Kgo/E-Powers, you need to add a couple of 5pks of low resistance(LR) cartomizers and juice...........

Turn it in and get it replaced and use it as a backup once you receive a new one. I would move on and get a better PV. I highly suggest an Indulgence V3. All mechanical so nothing to worry about as far as electrical failure. Go here to see it. The batteries are the only thing that you'll need to replace and they're cheap compared to most proprietary type ecigs.

The ego 650mah batteries aren't all that big and they open up several choices for atty/cartos in the low ohm category. I highly recommend the ego or one of it's clones like the riva. Find a carto and/or an atty that suits you and you're home free to devote all your energies to finding the perfect juice lol. If you're willing to go a little bigger, the kgo 1100mah has been getting good reviews. If you want a mod , the e-power is a good 'bang for buck' 3.7v mod imo. Good luck and happy vaping!

This morning one of my blu batteries finally died completely and I had to run out and buy a disposable to hold me over. I've decided I will use my blu warranty to get new batteries but only use them as backup. I'm ready for something better!
I have been looking into either the ego or kgo but I have some questions. I apologize in advance if they are very newbish.
I think I have to stick with cartomizers and not go to atomizers since I am usually vaping on the go. Is the kgo cart or atomizer?

The kgo can use either a cartomizer or atomizer.

Here are some options--

Riva ego lite $30/Riva carto kit$35 good kit
epower- 3.7 volt- change batteries yourself with inexpensive batteries.
KGo- big battery 3.7 volt
echo-e 1300 mah battery, 4.2 volts

Batteries last approximately 1 hour per 100 mah of continous vaping.

All these units can be used as a two piece model-(battery and cartomizer)

E-power, KGO, Echo-e all about the same price- $44-50. Ego kit about $10 cheaper (battery smaller)

Ok first lets talk about what went wrong so that you understand.
I'm assuming your Blu is an unsealed automatic, am I right?
The most common problem is for a freshly filled cart/carto to leak fluid into the switch which will kill the battery.
This is why most will suggest getting manual switch bats that have sealed connections.

You have been given a lot of suggestions, and there isn't a bad one in the bunch.

I'm looking at the kgo on Hoosier supply and it says it comes with:
    2pcs 2.0ohm LR atomizer

    6 pre-filled cartridges:

Black and Chrome Pre-filled w/USA Mix
Titanium and Pink pre-filled with w/menthol
1 USB charger (420mAh charge rate)

    1 USB wall adaptor

    2 Bigbore cone.

So does that mean it comes with atomizers that attach to cartridges? And what the heck is a Bigbore cone?

Yes tj that's most likely my problem. Is kgo a sealed battery?
