Sony 18650 VTC4 doesnt fit Smok Alien 220w

So i recently bought a brand new smok alien 220w and it was without batteries so i ordered two from local vape shop. I ordered two sony 18650 and they dont fit in my vape. Are you sure you have put them in the right way round? If you put them in incorrectly (positive to negative) then the door will not shut properly, or be difficult to close.

Second the suggestion to check the polarity. If not, depending on where you got them, I guess they could be inauthentics and etc. Who did you buy them from?

Welcome and glad you joined.
Your problem could be caused by a number of reasons. Might take batteries and mod to a local B&M Vape shop and let them examine.

Please note that Sony has never claimed a 30A continuous discharge rate -- that is a supplier's or retailer's advertised specification.

Mooch tested these to be only 23 amps continuous:

"Bottom Line: This is a hard hitting 23A continuous battery that exceeds its 2000mAh rating. They were purchased from www.illumn.com and are are identical in appearance and performance to genuine VTC4's. They run much too hot to be rated at 30A continuous but their temperature at 23A is the same as the VTC3 and VTC5 at their ratings."
