VTCs are good for sub and super ohm (above or below 1.0 ohms). The do have a relatively short battery life (mAh rating)
At 0.3 ohms, the VTCs are fine (if they are legitimate and not knock-offs)
The danger of sub ohm vaping rests with the vaper... if you do not know what you are doing, then you can short the battery and cause it to vent. This becomes exponentially easier to do as you go lower and lower with your coil resistance.

I suggest that you click the link in my signature titled "Bad's Awesome Blog"... there are headings in there for battery safety and ohm's law... read and understand that... I also suggest that you stay above 0.75 ohms until you get a better handle on the safety aspects of sub ohm vaping.

If you understand all of the underlying safety issues and how to mitigate them, then yes. The VTC series of batteries are perfectly fine at 0.25 and above...
The only other thing that you should know is that Sony is no longer making the VTC batteries. They stopped production about 9 months ago... so any new VTCs that you buy have a high chance of being fake batteries (a re-wrapped cheaper battery of unknown amp limitations). The VTCs are now being produced under the name Xtar. I don't know any reputable battery vendors in the UK, but these are the batteries that I am referring to: Xtar 30A
