just wondering if any of you guys know if the vtc4s are still in production or legitimately discontinued? I just bought 2 vtc4s from a trusted b&m and they look real to me but I'm still on the fence after reading that they were discontinued and that there's a lot of fakes going around. So idk what the chances are of these batteries being fakes. Any thoughts on this matter?

Yeah I saw that online and my battery looks identical to the authentic in those pictures. Just never know cause some fakes could be really high quality fakes. Wish there was a way to know for sure like a verification code or something but Sony never intended them to be used for vaping and counterfeited by so many people so can't blame Sony lol

They are being manufactured and are in stock at all the good suppliers now. My bet is all the following shops have them:

Yeah I saw them on illumination. Appreciate the reply though. I think the ones I bought are real cause they're working really awesome so far.

Yup, still being produced. I got some from Illumn several months ago and working great. There's a lot of debate about what fakes look like and all that, since some of the markers seem to be confused or have changed at some point. I would just keep an eye on how they're keeping their charge for a while, but I'm pretty sure I've seen a few local B&Ms starting to re-stock on them recently.

Yes, Sony is back into producing the VTC4. The pause in disruption was their battery production line was in the middle of that earthquake zone Japan had a little while ago. They have since started a new production line and moved that plant to another region. So you are 95% pretty sure to find legitimate VTC4's on the market at the list of authorized resellers @Ryedan posted above.
