Heyo

Got a couple of VTC5's on order. I've read through a few posts on ECF about them and just want to check a few things (as usual)

Intellicharger I have, bay 3 broke (don't ask) so it's a 3 bay charger now. I'm guessing loading the three bays with two VTC5's and the spare one with a Panny CGR18650CH won't be an issue? (aside from taking a bloody age to charge?)

I don't subohm at all, I load 1.5 - 2.0 ohm coils in my rba. I'm hoping a VTC5 can outperform a CGR18650. I've read the voltage drop is good on the Sony's and hoping to get through an 8 hour day at work without the need to carry spares. I will, of course, but long term once I lose the "safety blankey" I'm hoping these Sony's will do me from 8am to 5pm. The CGR Panny does manage it, but it's down to 3.5 when I test getting home.

Guess I just want to know if they can be charged ok together with another Panny 18650, and if I can realistically expect it to outlast the panny at work in the same vaping habits and survive. I kind of know it should but not sure if it will. If you get me. Excuse the disjointed text, Friday night, beers, and it's been the week from hell at work so meh.

:)

Disjointed/illegible and other comments welcome! :vapor:

If it was me, I would charge the sony pair in bays 2 & 4 and dedicate bay 1 to the oddman. It should be fine, the nitecore intellicharger is capable of chaging different kinds and brands together. Each bay is controlled seperatley to a degree. Yes it will split the loads of 1&3 and 2&4 but it will still terminate charging independantly when they are full. IMHO it will be fine.

You didn't say what mod you're using, but;

By this test comparison the VTC5 will give you a slight edge over the CGR CH at 2A draw down to 3.5V, but it's not much.

At 5A draw in a mech mod down to 3.6V the VTC5 has a huge lead.

You're on the right track and as your amp draw increases the advantage of the VTC5 increases.

It's bay two that broken, the base of the spring loaded section snapped off so it's knackered. I'll get by though, the others work a charm still.

I use a Nemesis and a Caravela mech mod, depending on the atty I use (whatever mood strikes me on the morning) I'll take a look at them charts, cheers!
