So I have a eGo I guess you would call it.. Accepts ego batteries and 510 thread from what I've been told.. My next step is unclear to me.. What should the first upgrade from that be.. Kinda on a budget so cost Is important but don't want to get another cheapo.. I payed 20 dollars for this one then saw I could get a twist kit for the same price offline.. So now I'm kicking myself in the head.. (yes my foot can reach apparently.. I have the head ache to prove it) so now where do I go from here.. I've read a out the drip style and I don't think that's go no work for me.. I wanna fill it out center and vape all day.. I'm giving g up a pack and a half a day of Newport 100s so having to refill a drip isn't for me.. So what's your suggestions and comments.. I feel so bad I got the one I got without doing homework now I wanna do my homework

You didn't say what kind of clearomizer, tank or device you are using with your eGo. If you shop around, especially online, you will find several options for variable voltage batteries that are reasonably priced. If you pair your new battery with a bottom coil tank or clearo and a good quality e-juice, you will probably be happy with your new set up.... until the new/bigger/better bug bites you again. :) Good luck to you.

The brand is a no name.. Sigma. Bought it at a deli y my house.. It has a ce4 clearomizer and a cheap battery.. I paid 20 bucks for it and now see I could have gotten something better for the same price.. I also spent 8 bucks on liquid of the same brand name.. And we'll it's not that great tasting.. So far it's keeping me from smoking.. So that's a plus.. Just wish I could get my money back to get something better.. Found a set up online from Newegg with a 3ml protank and 11mah set up.. For the same as I paid for mine.. Oh and something I didn't mention.. I want something that still resembles a pen.. It can be bigger obviously but I don't care for the box looking mods.. Or the crazy pipe shaped..

Dripping isnt that bad. Only sucks if you are driving or just constantly on the go.
Even at that thanks to bottom fed devices such as the Reo and others dripping can be reasonably convenient while maintaining the unrivaled performance that dripping provides.

BUT that sounds like a giant leap up from where you are at right now with vaping.

MVP would be a very nice step up. Can be had for a little over 40 dollars shipped.

Your atomizer system should not be overlooked. The new Kanger Mega/Mini Aerotanks are getting top reviews.

If you are willing to invest a little time in learning how to build and wick a coil the Kayfun type tanks will beat any plug and play type tank (like Kanger or Aspire types) and hold nearly 5ml of liquid.

Is there a drip system that is like what u have where all I do is fill it and it lasts all day.. (most of the day) I don't mind refilling mid day.. But the longer the better for me.. What is required in building coils? I do admit that that process sounds intriguing.. I've been watching a lot of videos.. Just not seen one of those yet.. I like the vamo.. So I may go with that.. But first I think I may buy the twist ego. And go from there.. I just would like a better quality vape.. So if I have to do it little buy little.. I don't Mind going to something like a twist.. Because I can still use it as a back up or as a travel device.. Thanks for. Your help guys.. Also where do u recommend getting liquids.. I'm not much for fruity.. Tho I do like a few fruit tastes.. Cherry and stuff.. I'm a huge coffee addict so maybe there's a good one for that.. Pls let me know also where are u guys getting g your juices from.. I see online is the way to go here

I agree with mommay I have 3 bottom coil tanks with a diff flavor in each and a lotus pen (basically the same as an ego c twist) I would get a bottom coil tank and go try out some flavors..I couldn't completely stop smokin cigs and vape exclusively until I found a flavor that I really liked..to me that's the most important thing. My husband got a Spire variable voltage mod, it's a lot bigger than mine but not a big clunky box mod...he loves it. My next step will be a VV mod. But for now I'm happy with my 2 pen batteries $20-25 each (I love having a spare for when I'm charging one) and my bottom coil tanks. They work great!

Vmod and Reo will let you drip all day.
They have built in bottles that feed directly to your coil. But again, that is pretty advanced stuff.

Genesis type tanks can function on par with most drippers but they are VERY challenging to set up correctly.

None of this is viable on a pen type device. The Reo and Vmod et al are box mods. Though if you think about it, not that big of a deal to carry as most box mods are about the size of a pack of smokes. And most of us certainly didnt mind carrying those around. Of course many new vapers get self conscious over using anything larger than a pen. Not telling you to change your mind or decide what is best for you (I was the same way) but for most of us that passes quickly. Hell, most of us would carry arround something the size of a basketball if meant top performance and reliability.

Building coils is pretty easy. Intimidating at first but most people can all but master basic builds after a couple attempts tops and many will even get it their first go with some guidance. You can learn just about everything you need to know on YouTube. Better yet, see if you have a local vape shop as many have at least one employee that can teach you.

Basic primer:
You need to first understand the fundamentals of how these devices work.
IE volts, amps, ohms and watts AND how they are all related (ohms law)

then you just need a couple of inexpensive tools, some resistance wire, wicking material and multimeter to measure your coils resistance (ohms) though some devices have onboard measuring.

Again, this is all extremely jumping into the deep end - advance user stuff.
And I am definitely not trying to make your head spin and scare you off.
But if you are serious about getting the best performance there's no good reason you cant start as close to the top as possible provided you are willing to do some home work (and potentially spend some cash).

Personal anecdote - I started with a variable voltage pen and Kanger Protanks. Just over 2 weeks later I jumped into rebuilding coils and advanced devices. My only regret thus far is that I wasted 2 weeks and about a hundred dollars on gear that is now at best a SUPER emergency backup vape device.

As a next step as a few have said already, the MVP 2 or the VV V3 both from innokin, are good choices. the MVP 2 has a much higher capacity battery than the VV V3, 2600mAh as opposed to 800 mAh of the VV V3 which means the MVP 2 will last more than 3 times longer on a single charge. The MVP can be bought for less than $40 online and the VV V3 $25 online. I will add a link to Where I have found them cheap but so as not to seem biased in any way they can be bought elsewhere for the same price.
Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape
I live in the U.K. and buy from U.K suppliers but found this on my travels. They also have a good deal on the VV V3 as well.

I see that you have looked into dripping but it seems that using a clearomiser tank with its ease of 'fill and go' will suit you better.
There are lots to choose from. To start the tank that comes with the MVP is an iclear 30, I have a 30s and its a great tank to try out first if you get the MVP.
Latter you can look into other tanks and you will have the time to look around a choose.
Tanks are pretty subjective just like juice flavours. Everyone has their favorate and not everyone agrees which the best tank is. I have found that most of the popular tanks give a very good vape and I have a few that's I swap between my mods, and mostly there is not that much difference, they all vape well.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for all your help... I'll be buying a vari I think still looking around.. With what I have so far it works as far as helps with cigarette cravings.. But the liquid doesn't really have a taste to it.. Again I'm sure it's because I'm using a no name brand.. Someone here is sending me some sample bottles so I will try those.. I'll have to wait to order mine because I'm outta cash atm.. Hopefully I get paid this weekend tho that's up In the air

Semi automatic dripper: that's a bottom feeder like the REO or V-mod.

There is also a dripper I've seen called a 3d where you press the top and it forces liquid up to the coil. Doesn't hold as much as the REO or vmod though.

I do not recommend a twist because for the price and size you can get a vv v3 instead with a screen that can tell you your coil ohms, your volts and your wattage.

What are your thoughts guys on variable voltage and wattage.. Can someone explain why I would want one as apposed to the other.. Right now I'm looking at the evic or sid.. Like the evic more because u can charge it without standard USB charger.. But im wondering what the disadvantages are of both... Im gearing at a aspire nautilus tank.. Any thoughts on that.. I've found that I use 2.6ml of juice during the day.. And the battery I have will go 8hrs before it's dead.. And again I have a Sigma and I'm not even sure what the mah is on it.. As far as liquids I'm looking for a good place to order.. Has anyone have experience with madvapes I've seen on there site that they are pretty cheap but not sure if there juices are any good.. They also have some mods on there that looked good but being new I don't k of if they are worth the time.. Thanks for your help guys.. If u have links or pics that would be good.. And thanks for the warm welcome here

14500 Variable Volt VOT

Ill try to answer some of your questions.
The 14500 variable volt looks very nice. Its like a spinner that has had an upgrade with LED readout and button adjustment. Its 900mAh battery will last as long if not a bit longer than what you have now. You will need to get a charger and 1 more battery, so you can have a fresh battery when the other runs out.

VV as opposed to VW. Well they both do the same thing but in a different way, which is, allow you to adjust the power that is sent to your coil. Power is messured in Watts so having VW allows you to set the power directly.

In a VV only device, power is determined by the voltage set then acting on the resistance of the coil.
e.g. 4volts x 4volts / 2.0 Ohm resistance coil = 8watts (VxV/R=W). If you use a 1.5 Ohm coil then this happens.
4volts x 4volts / 1.5 Ohm coil = 10.66watts so the power going to the coil will change, because of the change in Ohms of the coil. The result may be, that the vapour is now tasting a bit burnt.
So having VW lets you keep a constant power even if you change to a different coil.

Now don't get put off by this. For your purposes you don't need to be doing calculations every time you want to vape.
Basicaly if you want more vapour you turn it up if it tastes a bit like its burning you turn it down. That's all you need to worry about.

Tanks the aspire nautilus is a good tank but on something like what your looking at might look like a kojack lolli on a stick.
2014-05-20 07-20-02.236.jpg
Sorry I had to do a pic for the comedy value of it.
And that tank on there is smaller than the nauti.
Look for some of the mini range if you get a stick type battery. Most do one, aspire do 1. protank do a mini. I think others do as well.
cant answer on liquids as I buy in the U.K.
Hope some of my comments help. :thumb:
