Welcome to ECF, puffpuffpass, and good luck!
If you're anything like me and many others here, the transition from analogs to vaping is nearly painless and astonishingly easy.
I smoked for over 45 years (three packs per day) and had tried everything to quit except hypnosis and Chantix. After some research here as a lurker, I ordered a starter kit from Liberty Flights plus some juices. I thought I was just buying a neat toy. I also figured that if I could use it to cut down somewhat, I'd be way ahead of the game.
It didn't work out either way. Far from simply being a toy or an occasional substitute, that Joye eGo 510 starter kit replaced 95% of my cigarette consumption within a week. It's not 100% because in February I stocked up on several cartons of cigarettes just before I picked up my starter kit and juices at the post office. It's now July and I still have a couple of cartons left — I make a conscious effort to smoke a couple per day. After all, I invested in them so, by gum, I'm going to finish them. Full disclosure: I also puff on a pipe, but only at most a bowlful in a day and never in the summer.
I've moved on to bigger batteries (1100 mAh instead of 650) and Echo-e cartomizers (plus I have a Reo Grande solely for home use), but I still have that starter kit, now in its own carrying case, plus some cartomizers, in the car as a backup while driving.
Mind-boggling. Simply mind-boggling.
