So I shorted out a batt using an oversized spacer and now it won't fire:( I've taken everything apart cleaned and swapped everthing out...erggg, still no fire, I figure it has to be the switch..I completely understand how this mechanical device works and I feel stupid right now..

I also thought that I understood how it worked and tried everything when it would' fire properly ;)
It turned out to be some tarnish in the treads to the atomizer that I forgot to clean properly. I took the atomizer interface, switch and the pellet and gave it a good rinse in vinegar. After that it worked flawlessly.
Good luck :)

I saw your other post about the switch coming apart. Make sure the small round brass piece that connects with the atomizer has the beveled side facing up. If you have the flat side facing up it will not activate the atomizer. Try that out and see if that was the problem.

How did you remedy this problem? I seem to be having a similar issue but even when I unscrew the atty holder portion and make contact with the spring directly mine is not firing. Atty works just fine on my Provari so its not the atty. The firing pin has been cleaned and the spring seems to work just fine.

I ended up filing the sleeve down about 2mm from the edge, very light filing and at a slight angle.

Are you still having problems with your batt sleeve?

Polish the inner housing and tips for the battery sleeve. You can also press/depress the connector and spring assembly with your fingers to "loosen" it a bit to make it easier to slide. Once it breaks in, it is very easy to slide.

The less pressure you apply on the sleeve towards the housing wall, while still sliding the sleeve up, the more consistent it will fire.
