This is my first post and a complete newbie

I started vaping back in May and completely got off cigarettes. I started off on a 20w istick with a nautilus mini tank. After a month or so I moved onto an I stick pico with a steam crave aromamizer tank. Since I started vaping I only bought juices from vape wild. Never had an issue with throat irritation. In the last week I have ventured into diy.

I ordered nic from nude nicotine. Its a 100mg/ml 100% pg base. The VG and pg are from essential depot. I thought maybe flavorings were causing throat irritation so I made a bottle without flavors. Throat doesn't hurt at first but after a couple ml's it does. Any advice or tips?

Thanks

Probably vaping a little harder, but I didn't think it was that much more. I guess I didn't know there was a difference in harshness between the two as long as the ratios were good

I definitely notice it. You can try lowering the nic as well. Though at 3mg that shouldn't be an issue.

It's the first time I hear about differences in taste/harshness of VG and PG based nicotine.
I guess I missed that memo too @Alien Traveler I have read a LOT and this is the first time I have heard this. I ordered all of my nic stash in a PG base because it is easier to work with. I can't imagine it making any difference if the PG/VG ratio is what you want once mixed to desired strength.

I have ordered only from two suppliers (NudeNicotine and Heartland), from one in PG, from another in VG. Do not see any difference, even if suppliers are different - they both have clean nicotine. May be at 12 mg or higher people can tell them apart, but at 2.5 - 5 mg they are the same thing.

How can it make a difference if the nicotine is in PG or VG if the final mixed ratios are the same?

do your own blind taste test and see. Some people are very sensitive to certain flavors\conditions etc. I have tried about 15 different nicotines and PG is always a bit more harsh. I always try new nicotine at either 50/50 or max vg at 10mg. It isn't harsh enough to deter me from vaping it, but I may have a higher tolerance for this sort of thing than the OP.

When someone is using quality nicotine and experiencing a harsh vape this has been one of the things I have seen work. It is not the first thing to try but if all your bases are smooth and you arent using some crazy amount of an alcohol based flavor, fresh! This is the last thing really to try before going zero nic.

I only use Nicselect Nicotine and people seem to complain about the price. I am from that old school where we learned you usually get what you pay for.
Same here. I pay an extra $20-30 per litre. A litre lasts my wife and I about 5 years. I could care less about a few bucks over that much time to vape what I consider the best.

I can understand the difference if the nicotine was mixed in either max pg or max vg.If the final mixed ratio is exactly the same like 50 pg 50 vg then it does not make any sense to me.They would have the same exact ingredients if the nic was pg or vg?
