Does anyone else get sore throats when using titanium A1 or 316L both around 420-480 degrees around 50-50w? Kanthal doesn't seem to give me sore throats. Not sure if this happens to anyone else but I thought I would ask. Here is a pic of my titanium build and I'm always using spaced coils on it.

It doesn't happen to me, sorry. But I wanted to say that I recently switched to 316L in power mode and would say I find it less irritating than kanthal, which wasn't really much of an issue. Could it be anything else, maybe a juice? Or have you tried those with kanthal and no issues?

Sorry that I can't give any better help, but hopefully I can get the conversation started here. Lets hope some more knowledgeable members join in soon.

Yea it could be the juice but when I vape it on kanthal it doesn't bother me. I'm going to change juices on it to see if that was the issue.

It's a place to start, at least. Only other things I could think of would be turning the power down. Maybe if your wick is too light or too tight, could get scorched and irritating your throat. What about splash back of juice in the throat? Does that happen when you vape your Ti and SS builds? Sometimes if I get too much splash back, like if I over drip, it can cause my throat to feel harsher.

I'm not sure about SS but when I use Ti I always use a alcohol swab and clean the wire since sometimes there is machine oil or and other contaminates from the manufacturing process. I do that since you can not dry burn it. I would say give it a try in your next build it can't hurt any.

+1 for @DonCon recommendation for cleaning the wire's.

I use SS 316L mostly and wipe them multiple times with Cotton dipped in Alcohol before coiling, pulse them on low voltage's till they glow evenly before wicking with cotton.

The only reason i ever had sore throat was if it was High PG or Nic
or when wick is not getting saturated enough with juice on high power.

You can also try by reducing your Temp's to 400-440 F.
