My daughter and I went out yesterday to buy a 'friend' for our resident guinea pig, Ms. Butterscotch.
We went to a local pet shop and asked to see one. They told us that all they had were pairs and, because they were all bonded, they'd like to sell them as pairs. They asked if I would be interested in taking two.
Not really...
Well, off she went to ask the owner and, nope, they didn't want to split them up. Hey! Good for them!! I was impressed, so, naturally, being the sucker I am, we bought two little sisters!!
THEY'RE THE CUTEST THINGS...EVER.
Their father was a 'skinny pig', (which is like those hairless cats..weird looking and bald!), and their mother was one of the ones whose hair goes all over the place. (Apalacians?)
Anyhoo, they're as SWEET as can be and both of them have little 'mohawks' down the middle! One is a gingery color, (mixed with grey and white) and the other one is black, white and ginger.
Our resident, Butters, is now 'mothering' them. (Which includes the odd nip! Ah! I can't stand 'animal interaction' when it becomes nippy! But, I'll survive I suppose..)
All are thrilled meeting new friends and having a new home...now I just wish they'd stop 'chirping, tweaking, popping and whistling' to show their appreciation, I need my SLEEP!!
