It seems that I'm always saying that, but cross my heart and hope to spit it's always been legit. The full month of September I have had cataract surgery on my eyes. They do one one week and then two weeks later they do the other. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to wear eye makeup again. I've had a bit of complications with them healing, and using my after surgery drops incorrectly has not helped. At one time I had to keep up with 10 different drops and I'm not surprised that I messed them up with my fibro brain. I was rather embarrassed to tell my eye dr. what I'd done, but I had to. He was not a happy camper. I guess I could have lied, but what good would that have done me. I think I'm on the road to recovery and hope that the surface of my eyes aren't as "sickly" as they were. It's not like I woke up one morning and thought, "Hmmmmm.....think I'll misuse my drops so my eyes won't heal properly." Please keep this 'dumkoff' in your prayers. I would like to be able to see. Duh!! I was pretty much in the bed from pain of my body and eyes! October will be a wonderful month in comparison.
Hey, Christmas is on the way! Many of us are on such a fixed income that we run out of money before we run out of people to buy for. To me, I'd rather receive something someone made than bought. A great deal of love goes into those types of gifts and they mean so much more to the receiptient....or at least they do to me. I had a very dear friend who made beaded tree ornaments and she thought they were a tacky gift. I loved them immediately. They are gorgeous. I remember her every year and will for years to come because of them. Unfortunately, for me, she went to live with Jesus last year on Dec. 24th. She was 13 years younger than me. I was so shocked. She died in her sleep. If you don't make gifts, make up gift cards to give your time. Time is a precious commodity these days. Bake cookies! Or, if there is someone you are upset with, forgiveness is a wonderful gift from God for us to pass on to each other. What do you do for gifts that doesn't cost 2 arms and 1 leg? Share!
