I need to find a place that sells 1 oz plastic square bottles for my dad's eliquid, he has need topped round bottles and I am having issues getting labels to stick to them so I figure if I get square bottles with a flat surface and put the labels on before I put any liquid in them I should have a better shot of the label sticking.

I have tried several kinds of labels and they don't work, I bought an embossing label machine and I have found that the problem is the curve of the bottle is to sharp for the label to adhere to so I need a flat surface for it to adhere to
You need some seriously sticky labels. As I say the ones that you get at Christmas from dime stores work well. I've tried posh printer labels and they just fall off.
I just use Avery 5160 labels and have no problems at all with the round plastic bottles.

I go simple I print the label and add tape And then overlap never had one come off .

those are good square bottles, my only problem with them is it seems like the smallest they come in is 2oz and they don't have the type of neck to screw a needle lid onto, and my problem with the printed labels is the ink seems to run so that is why I bought the embossing label maker

But seriously, just try to get something seriously sticky and then write on it with a ball-point.
Next thing you'll want is printable labels for an Access database of different flavours!
Honestly, labels with good glue will stick to round bottles.
I got some of the removable labels because I'm damn tired of having to scrape adhesive off with my fingernails. They do tend to not stick very well, so I just wrap a piece of tape around them. Tape comes off easily without leaving adhesive residue, and then the labels come off and leave none.
Write on them with a fine-tipped permanent marker; they do make Sharpies in fine-point. Ball-point or regular pen ink is vulnerable to PG (and so would printer ink be, unless you specifically buy water-proof ink, which is expensive), but the permanent marker ink seems nearly impervious.

I use a Brother labeler and don't have any problem getting the labels to stick. They're plastic coated so the ink doesn't run and they're easy to peel off if you want to re-use the bottle for a different juice.
Hi Andria, To remove adhesive mineral spirits, WD40, and even dish soap works well. In that order.

Yeah, dish soap works ok, particularly on glass bottles, but some label adhesive is the very devil to get off plastic bottles -- which is most of what I use, since so far, I haven't been making large quantities of anything. When I finally get done with my WTA-withdrawal and can make larger quantities, I'll be using more glass.
Don't have mineral spirits, but the ol man probably has some WD40 in the garage -- not sure I'd want to try that on plastic, the smell might linger.
Actually one of the best things I've tried for the stubborn dried on remnants of paper and adhesive is one of those white silicone erasers; it "peels" the stuff up, so you can brush away the "crumbs". Regular rubber erasers don't work as well; they tend to disintegrate rather than having any effect on the dried-on adhesive.

I write the info on a bit of paper and then cover it with a piece of scotch tape with the very end folded over to form a tab. The tab makes it super easy to remove and it stays on the round bottle until ready to be removed. No residue left on the bottle at all.
You mean like an old Dymo label maker that produces raised lettering? That won't work as those labels won't stay stuck to a plastic bottle that is being flexed to dispense liquids. The label tape is way too rigid.
WD40 won't harm the plastic bottles and neither will mineral spirits.
You only have to rub a little, especially with the ms, no soaking as with dish soap.
btw, WD40 is real good for getting crayola crayon stuff off walls, in case there's little one running around some day.
Even worked to get the crayon scribble off my drum heads when Trex got a hold of the 'em when he was little.

If your labels aren't sticking on a round bottle, I seriously doubt they will stick to the flat side of a square bottle any better. Your problem is likely with the type of label you're using or condition of the surface it's being applied to, not the bottle shape. I label both plastic and glass bottles of various sizes, all round, and have no problem with the labels adhering to them. Actually, they are a bit difficult to remove so I use WD-40 followed by dish soap.
What is the model number of the Brother label maker you have, I see other people suggesting using tape which I have tried and still doesn't stick so I was wondering about the label maker you are talking about, I have tried the other method suggested here about writing on a label with a ball point pen but the ink runs so I was wondering does the ink run or smear on the labels you make?
Cover it with clear packing tape not scotch tape. That stuff sticks to anything and it seals the label so liquid cant get at it. I cut a piece just a little bigger than the label. Mix and fill first and make sure your bottle is completely clean before applying and I will guarantee it will stick. They will NOT stick to VG. Ink jet printer ink will run if you get so much as teary eyed so you have to cover them if you are using an inkjet or they are going to run.
Recently I bought a laser printer and some specialty labels from Onlinelables.com and they are real good about holding the printing but they still don't stay stuck to a 15ml bottle, they tend to peel. I just put a tiny piece of scotch tape in the back covering the seam between the two ends and I have never had one come off. The bummer of the laser printer is every time you run a label sheet through the printer it darkens the remaining labels on the sheets so I try to wait and do as many labels at a time to keep the number of passes through the printer down. A label Printer and a roll of labels instead of sheets would solve this. Someday.
