A Ego or Riva with cartos is about as maintenance free as it gets. I would go with Boge 2.0 for a good all around cartos, great performance, easy to fill and will last a good while if kept wet. Same said for the dual cores if you want more TH they will drain the battery faster though.

If you're talking about a small cig style, the Volt is getting great feedback, battery life won't be quite as long as on the above options though.

What flavors of juices do you tend to favor?? Knowing that helps us recommend the right type of equipment- until you settle on a juice it's tough to gauge what you'd like in terms of gear.

I like Boge 2 ohm cartos- lots of vapor, and a good throat hit if I have a throaty juice. Others will probably tell you to go higher voltage, or to try a dual coil carto. Something like a Roughstack will let you go up to 6 volts without breaking the bank. With the Boge's and a good juice I haven't felt the need to go over 3.7 v to get a good vape.

hm, i just want to add.. i dont' want an LR ecig right now.. if the atomizer/battery are going to end up dying significantly faster. those weren't around 2 years ago, so learned about what they were only a few days ago.

ok so sounds like a boge carto might be my best bet.. reo grand is the battery? is there a way to buy a kit without the original atomizers and tanks then?

LR 2ohm boge cartos(one of the most popular LR cartos out there) cost like $1.30 each should last around a week or so and will clog up long before they burn out. As far as batteries if you get good AW batteries they wont be an issue at all. If you want decent flavor and good TH in a 3.7v ecig LR is something you should consider.

I would suggest a 3.7v mod, as I think those are the standard when jumping into mods.

I would suggest the REO grand, for it's true simplicity. It's the best looking box mod in my opinion, so it's great to bring it on the outs when you're driving, as you don't have to drip and drive, but yet you get the same flavor as if you were dripping.

It can be a 3.7v mod or 6v, i think maybe even 5v? Just depends on what batteries you use. I think it even fits the 18650 batteries which are the highest "mah" of the 3.7 volt (more mah = last longer), so that would be great for you.

it doesn't matter if you dont' like LR because you can use any kind of atomizer on there, LR, HR, SR (just make sure to match it to what voltage you're using) and you can also use cartomizers if you don't like dripping.

pretty much provides everything with alot of options. here's a youtube review on the REO Grand:

if you don't like the box shape, there's plenty of "tube" looking mods. here's a good database that has pretty much every mod out there, this link is for the tube shaped ones:
Battery Tube e-Cig Mods | e-Cigarette Mods Database

some of the more popular tube shapes are, but not limited to, the Silver Bullet, Prodigy, and just too many to name.

if you don't like the mods, you'll hear EGO and Riva all the time. i jumped straight into the mods after my first ecig experience (a cigarette looking mod), so i don't have personal experience, but I believe people say Riva > EGO. and I think the common consensus with the EGO-T (tank) is that they lose flavor.. so i wouldn't recommend that particular model.

the most common place i hear to buy em are at www.libertyflights.com

From what I've seen of people starting with eGo or mods and giving up on vaping because it's more trouble than it's worth, I advise a simple 808D-1 with LR cartos. If you use a PT (passthrough -- a corded model), you might reasonably get by with just two batteries. If you don't use a PT, then you'll surely need three or four batteries.

Personally, I don't like the Boge cartos, but the tide of sentiment on this board is clearly against me.

Also remember that throat hit depends on the PG/VG ratio. There are whole threads dedicated to that topic.

Happy vaping! :)

good point. the more nicotine, the more TH. Other things that contribute to TH are more PG than VG, and usually tobacco flavors have more TH. the Bakery/Dessert types usually have less TH
