I have been vaping for about 3 to 4 months now. I started out on a Protank 2 with an EVOD multiple voltage battery. I carried that around for good while. It just got too expensive to keep replacing the coils seeing as I had no idea you could rebuild them, so I decided to take a look into mech mods and go with a dripping atomizer. After I did my research I decided that rebuilding a dripper is quite simple so I went out and picked one up. I am now currently running a K100 (Efast 2000 18650 battery) with an IGO-W running at about .8 ohms. I was wondering what the benefits are between a dual coil setup and a single coil setup. Thanks! :D

Rebuilding is definitely the way to go. Do note that battery has a 10 amp limit so with that build you're drawing a little over 5 amps. When it comes to sub-ohming, you need to calculate what your equipments capabilities are. If you exceed that you risk going into thermal runaway, meaning pipe bomb in your hand. You're better off switching to a 30 amp battery to give yourself some leeway with amperage. As far as dual coils go, its relatively simple. More vapor production, denser vapor, hotter temperature. They also tend to be juice hogs since you're doubling the consumption of liquid. Keep in mind, dual coils cut your resistance in half. So if you dual build what you're currently running you would be at .4ohms and exceeding that efest's amp limit putting yourself in jeopardy, just an fyi. Don't do it.

Thanks so much for the info. I just looked up a basic single coil build with the setup I have. I will do a lot more research because I have heard that bad things can happen when you mess around with sub ohms and don't know what you are doing.

Grando I apologize that this isn't a new member question :/ I wasn't quite sure where to put it as I am a new member lol.
