SoundCloud Signature

Hi. New and still learning the ways of this forum.
But my question is, since I do make music and people seem to like my music(hip-hop, R&B, Pop, blah blah) I was wondering if(when i am able to) it would be fine if I made a signature with one of my songs? kinda like a mini player. but only one song. just an instrumental since I only produce.

Can anyone shed light on this, please?

Thanks! Just saw your reply. Asking a moderator was my next thought. Got kinda busy. Been running around trying to make deals and sell music and job hunting...about to be a daddy for a second time so money is a necessity lol

I think it will depend more on whether it is possible add a music file to your signature than anything. The moderators will know, so ask.

Within the sig file itself? I don't believe that will work as there are very specific (small) size limits placed on signature files. You rarely see even animated signatures or avatars here for that very reason.

As far as I know, Soundcloud provides HTML embed codes for their embedded player, which won't work here (you'd need BBCode instead)

I would say your answer would probably be a no, anyway. The rules don't specifically call out media players, but animated images are not allowed, so I doubt this would be, and the link could potentially be interpreted to be commercial in nature. So while media players are not expressly forbidden as the rules are written, I would be inclined to think that it wouldn't be allowed

Excerpt from signature rule:

27. Signature (sigs)
a. No animated graphics are allowed in signatures and there are no exceptions.
c. No commercial links are allowed. This means links to business websites or any website with a primarily commercial objective unless the site is related to electronic cigarettes and is permissible according to other rules.
