Spare O-rings in protank box?

I know this has to have been asked 100 times but I can't find it....

what are the two extra rubber o-rings for in the protank 2 and mini boxes?
they don't actually fit on anything in the protank 2 or mini....

so what are they?

Drip tip o rings i believe.

Nope too thin. Drip tip uses a much fatter/deeper washer type o-ring
What comes in the box are whimpy little o rings
Not sure why one would ever need to change one of the drip dip rings for??

I have them too. I have absolutely no idea what they are suppose to be for. If they wanted to give you a spare part an o-ring for the tank would have been a better add-on than these mystery things.

Well, if not for the drip tip or tank glass, maybe for sealing the bottom base to the tank assembly? You know, the lower metal part that holds the head then screws into the base of the tank. I've wondered the same thing, may have even asked here myself. Still don't know for certain.

Too small for bottom though it can be made to work. It stretches the gasket to breaking; stretches it until it turns white)

The orings are for the base because we are always removing to refill and/or add new coils . the repeated abuse has been known to destroy them..gl

I have used them for the base to tank connection on the Protank Mini 2 and the Protank 2. They seem small but they work. Just go slow and stretch them over.

This has been a mystery to me all week. Lol now I kinda know what these O-rings are for.

Good to know.. now I can change the "?" to "o-rings for base" on the tiny ziplock I been collecting them in.
