When companies/other users/anywhere state that a battery lasts so many hours (like say 3 hours) is that 3 hours from pulling it off the charger fully charged, or 3 hours "on."

Because I'm wondering if, for say I go to take one to school and only use it in the 10 minuets I have between walking to class X 4 10 minuet class brakes= 40 minuets of battery "time."

Or am I going to need 2-3 batteries to cover the 1hr trip there, 4hrs of classes, and 1hr trip home?

Providing that there is no unwanted automatic battery "on" time.

depending on which model type e-cig you have, and how much you smoke i would say 2-3 batteries should last you a WHOLE day of smoking. that is chaining/quick 5 min break/party.i have a m401 and one battery would last me about 5-6 hours of use. like 20-30 min in front of the tele, 15 min here and there outside and walking to stores and going to the car and smoking while driving. should give you an idea :)

Thanks guys. I just realized that all the companies stated that it lasts X amount of time but not what kind of time. Its the same questions I pester cell phone companies about talk time vs on time ect.

And while I'm aware that what the manufacture states is not exactly the actual time it may last (because they all do that, no matter what their product is) I was more wondering if I would be able to use one for one part of the day, and let another charge and then swap out ect. Sounds like that is the case :)

    Thanks again.
