Specific questions about my new iStick

So tomorrow I should be receiving my new istick. I've skimmed through the bloated 700 page thread, and have seen a few people mention some issues that worry me... the one that has me the most curious is about it running hot on a fresh charge and burning clearos.

I plan on using my iStick with my Kanger EMOW and Kanger Mini Genitank. I have both 1.5ohm and 1.8ohm coils for them. I've been preferring the 1.8 on my EMOW battery... What I'm wondering is, at the lowest setting, is the 1.5 more likely to burn too hot than the 1.8? Is there anyone who's had problems with this specific set up?

I am also planning on using the iStick with some Boge 510 XL cartos. I've never used them before. I got them with 2.0ohm coils. Any tips when using with an iStick?

As an iStick noob, any other specific advice before I use it?

Been using mine for a bit now, both with a Kanger Aerotank Mega and an EMOW. Only problem I've had is with rebuilt coils: for some reason, it will automatically up the wattage on them (although not to a bad point)

The majority of the burning clearo issues are on single coil devices like the Protank 2s and tumblers. I use a kanger aerotank V1 on one of my isticks, and a genitank on another. Both work wonderfully. I'd start at 7 watts or below to see if you like the taste and move up from there. (BTW, both of my tanks are using the new enclosed kanger dual coils at 1.8 ohms). I am partial to about 9 watts on my kanger tanks.

Since the IStick tends to run "hot", the 1.8 Ω might be a better choice. Might not be able to set it low enough for the 1.5.
