Speedier solution to the lag time....

For those of you who are experiencing a lag time while the google and facebook buttons load, as was I, I just wanted to share a work around with you.

I just downloaded Firefox from Mozilla dot com and the difference in speed is amazing!!! No more waiting for those buttons to take their sweet old time loading. =) For those comfortable with it, give it a try. Even if we use it temporarily until the kinks can be worked out, then you can uninstall it painlessly and go back to whatever you were using as your browser before.

i have been using firefox and it is still kinda slow ..
so i opened up my script blocker and blocked those dam little buttons,,,now it is back to the performance i am use too

I was using good old IE prior to today. It was painful!!! lol

I will check into that script blocker if things slow down for me again. Thanks denali!!

I have ad blocker plus with FF. So far it's great! No more lag time. =)

tracy, you can go back to ie if you turn on in-private browsing - lag time pretty much gone ......

I just right click the +1 and fB links and click "Block this ad" using the Adblock extension. Problem solved. BTW I am using Safari on Mac, but I am relatively certain that Adblock has a similar context menu functionality on all platforms...

of course you could always add facebook to your hosts file as 127.0.0.1 who needs facebook anyhow....

nope, i took it at face value especially since i had done research on adding the button locations to hostfiles and got scared away, lol

thought for sure you had such advanced skills it would be a piece of cake for you
