I'm no expert but I would guess the lifetime would depend on how the battery is treated. They are supposed to be good for 300 charge cycles. A charge cycle is from fresh off the charger to blinking dead. If you keep them in a reasonable state of charge I don't know of a definitive length of life. Chain smoking, hot-boxing, etc., would take some life out of them also. I imagine someone will be along with some kind of absolutely fool-proof definitive number for you so just wait for other opinions.

the lifetime of your batt will depend on how often you charge it, among other things. lithium batteries like to be charged at 50%. they do not mind shallow charges, unlike older nickel batts of the past. charge your twist/spinner often, not just when it dies. and you dont have to charge it all the way up to 100% either. dont overcharge it either. youre better off charging it too little than too much. if you do this you will allow your batt to live as long as it can.
storage of a lithium batt should be done at 40%. i doubt anyone here would be not using their batt(s) for months at a time, but im sure its possible. i know my ego gathered some dust when i first got a mod.

even though its best to charge at 50%, i rarely do it. its just not practical. i do indeed vape heavy, and my batt life doesnt suffer. i think the best thing you can do is to be aware of overcharging. ive only ever killed 1 ego, and that was after a year+ of use. it was a knockoff, plus it suffered a handful of drops to concrete. it lasted a long time and all i ever did was pay attention regarding charging. im betting youll get similar results.

the main thing to consider when deciding on mods vs egos is the fact that if your mod batt fails, you just get a new batt, but if your ego batt fails, youre gettign an entire new ego. youre only talking $6 vs $26 which isnt too bad the first few times around. but for lifetime, those twenty dollar bills can certainly add up. generally speaking, expect 1 year from a battery, be it an ego or an AW.

Two Vision Spinners, which are my secondary batteries (I always have 2 with me, but use the primary Volt X2 most of the time). I have four Volt X2's.

All are vintage September 2012, get used very heavily, and get charged daily. I rotate between all four Volt X2's as primary, and both Spinners as secondary.

All are still going strong and show no degradation of battery life as of yet!

I don't expect anything without a replaceable battery to last over a year with daily use, if it does, that's a BIG plus. Take care of what you have as best you can, clean the connections and allow to fully discharge and re-charge once and a while, should be good to go. My biggest problem, I end up dropping everything at some point, and I'm pretty careful...it just happens. The way I look at it....If I'm not spending $7-10 a day on analogs, I can afford a $20 battery konking out every 3-12 months. I've come to realize that these things won't last forever, they're relatively inexpensive electronics that I use many, many times every single day....You buy a Rolex, it'll last a lifetime...but I guarantee it'll see it's fair share of time in the watch repair shop. A Rolex is worth repairing, an inexpensive e-cig...buy another one and move on.

I've had a Joye twist battery that I've been using daily and I purchased it beginning of July. About 7 months? Still going strong. It's not my only PV but it gets charged daily.

After I use it a few hours, I throw it on the charger.

Edit: Two non-Joye twists are both dead due to button issues.

I have a 1000 and had 2 650 Joye Twist I bought in November 2012. I charged each 650 roughly once a day, two days for the 1000. One 650 died recently, and the other 2 are now needing more time to charge; roughly 4 or more hours, where it use to be 2-3 when new. I feel this is a sign that they are on their way out.

Just got an iTaste v3 to add to the mix and have my eye on the yet-to-released MVP v2. Might look at a Spinner or Winder until then.
