Got mine from gotvapes, only because vapingme has an order limit of 5 atomizers and I needed 10 (I typically bulk buy with my friends)

So, in 6 days I've burned through two atomizers. I'm new to the forum, because my old username bleedscarlet was associated with my college email that i don't have, and I can't remember the PW, but I've been vaping nearly since the beginning of the revolution (almost 4 years now!)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, if I got unlucky, or if the splitfire is just not tested thoroughly, but a friend of mine had problems from the get go, though she's new to the vape world so I didn't think I would :(

and I'm adding replies rather than editing just because I hate this new member restriction. I wanted to post this in another forum, but I can't because...well, you all know why already.

I should mention I bought 1.8s and immediately swapped it on receipt. After the 1.8 burned in two days, I switched back to the 2.4 (which sucks to thread without aglets, as you may have guessed) and that burned out in about 3-4 days.

I'm worried that the atomizers are actually fine, and the assembly is shorting somewhere. I'll be fully disassembling the entire thing tonight and cleaning it, then reassembling with a new 1.8, since I have like 9 more. If nothing else, it will be an amazing vape for a couple weeks.

Been using one for just a day and so far so good.
When I first screwed it to my lavatube it read 000 ohms, I unscrewed the head just a bit then tightened it back down just a bit and it was good to go.
I posted a review in here.

Also Chris474 posted this.

I've noticed this and can duplicate it time and again with rewicked/recoiled heads and stock heads. Over tightening the center disc to the lower tank mushes the atty head grommet and causes the short. For safety, I test the SF every time I change from a different unit. It makes me nervous which is why I want to file down the center post.
