I received my Splitfire with a 2.4 Ω head from Got Vapes in the mail today. I filled the tank and waited 30 minutes before using it. I also dripped two drops of liquid directly on the coil. I have it attached to a eGo Twist 1000 mAh with a freshly charged battery. I had the voltage set on 4.1 v, as that is what I used for my Mini Vivi Nova 2.4 Ω head. The first draw produced a lot of vapor, but the second draw tasted a little burnt. I then lowered the voltage to 3.6, and I'm still getting a lot of vapor production with no burnt taste. So far, I seem to be impressed with the Splitfire. I may change my evaluation later, but at the moment, I like it better then the Mini.

I do have one question for those who can answer. Should I have burnt in the coil before filling it the first time?

Edit: One side note is it's heavier than the Mini, but is it larger, plus the second (top) tank.

2nd Edit: I have vaped the Splitfire for about an hour, and have set the voltage down to 3.2, and I'm still getting a lot of vapor, and no burnt taste.

Dang! I was expecting some type of response. After using this for a full day, I have to say it beats the Mini VN hands down. Better flavor out of my juice and lower voltage setting on my Twist. I'm not getting dry hits with the Splitfire. I'm going to buy a couple more in different colors so I can switch juices.:pervy::pervy::pervy:

The juice in the holding tank does not darken like it does with the VN either. I'm sold! Thanks, Got Vapes! You've got a return customer!

I have been using mine for about a week now.. I must say I love it too! I have mini Novas also. I keep going back to my splitfire!! No dry hits, no leaking at all! The flavor you get out of these are awesome!! Clouds of vapor to go with all that flavor! I'm going to buy more! I'm sold! They are a heavier though.. But you get used to it. Can't want to put it on my provari, if my provari EVER gets here!!

been using mine for almost a month. THE BEST VAPE I HAVE HAD. Hands down. Cartos, clearo, RBA`s, dont even compare. Although I do have to say I have never and will never spend more than 30$ or so on a feed so the higher end devices Im unsure about. But this is simply AWESOME. Changing the heads is a small task. Just make sure to grip the wick under the center cap when pulling off the "lace peices" so you dont pull it out if the coil or break it off. I got a little over 3 weeks before the coil was unusable.

I haven't touched the Viv's since getting this. I will agree though changing the head for the first time without paying attention is asking for trouble. I pulled off the 4 caps before even attaching it then realized.. Hmmmmm that was smart. I spent the next 10 minutes trying to get the frayed ends into the small holes. Don't do this.

Other than user error the Splitfire or as I bought it (the Squid) has been fantastic so far and Im going to buy another one this weekend.

i've been hearing good things about this as well. People that where getting burnt hit's from their Nova and Vision StarDusts seem to be not getting them with the Spit Fire even though it's a top coil wicking device (same as the ones they had issue with). I guess the main advantage is the better air flow. I think one of the main issues with the nova and stardust is the tight pull from them, people tend to suck slower and had more volts to get a hit which in turn is burning the wicks.

One question; i love a good throat hit. Are the hits from the spitfire more "airy" than the other clearos you've tried? Do you still get a nice throat hit from it?

No, it is all that airy. Still, it's not too bad on the draw. Maybe that is subjective though. The airiest hit I get is from my DCT tank.

What I do like is the flavor I get from a cheap set up. The thing I don't care for is changing the heads out. I guess nothing is perfect, even a GG, or Penelope, because you have to know how set those up, or it doesn't work correctly.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Splitfire.
