Spray paint tubes

Can anyone tell me the best way to spray paint some tubes so that the paint does not get into the inside?

I can't figure out how to tape them properly to avoid getting paint in there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Get a FLAT paper plate and line up double sided tape PERFECTLY.
Put a plate on each end.
Viola.

Or, take a slice of raw potato and use the tube to punch out plugs to seal the ends.

Or roll some card, stuff it in the end so some projects out far enough to stop the paint entering.

Lots of thin coats, not thick coast will stop ingress
