Thanks! So you didn't remove any paint? If I didnt remove any paint, the prong would not make any contact with the body other than the screw to the body.

The screw is enough. Might get a little better without the paint, but not enough to make a difference. With stock firing pin and .8 ohm coil I went from .4V drop to .2V drop. Going to a brass feeler gauge firing pin I went down to .16V drop with .8 ohm coil. Considering that over half of that is from battery internal resistance, there is just not that much more to gain that it would be noticeable.

Brilliant...I used the folded tab method (all my grands have had the paint removed under the spring)...I had a piece of high temp silicon rubber I use for gaskets (about 1/16" thick) I stuck a tiny piece under each tab (between it and the fuse body, cause you're right, the tab isn't exactly spring tempered and it collapses after the first few fires) and I cut a slightly larger piece (1/4x1/4?) and put it under the non tab side, between the fuse body and the bottom of the grand...

On my http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/557303-hybrid-grand.html I freshened up fuse tangs and the bottom of the grand with some 600 grit, gave it a smear of Noalox and I just metered a .17 v-drop on a fresh sony (4.23V) on .5 worth of duals!...at least according to my Fluke...my personal best...I'm not sure with batt resistance I'm getting much better...thanks all!

...not to mention a fuse makes me feel way better than relying on a collapsing spring
