Squape R buildup

Hey guys,
I picked up an EHPro Squape R a few months ago, and absolutely loved it until I took the glass out, and couldn't get it back in place. So I shelved it until I could decide whether to buy a new one for $35 or a replacement glass for $20. Instead of dealing with the hassle of replacing the glass, I decided to pick up a new one. I still love the flavor and experience, but I'm noticing something about this one that I don't remember having with my first.
I've tried a few different juices in it, and the inside of the chimney always gets coated with something sticky. Obviously there is some juice there, but besides that, there are tiny grains of something else. At first I thought it was a low quality juice, but it wasn't. After trying a few juices and cleaning all of the parts really well, I still get this gunk buildup. It also builds up on the deck, but it a lock stickier, and harder to wipe off there.
I guess I'm wondering if this is something others have noticed, and could it just be how juice sticks to the coated material that the decks and chimney are made of. I've used both juices in an RDA, and having seen this kind of buildup anywhere.

It happens within the first 5-10 drags. I usually tank 5-7 second drags. I started with Alchemy E-Lixers. Then I put in an MT Baker flavor I mixed myself.
I didn't think about it being from the coils, but that could make sense. I don't burn my coils before I wrap them. I just heat them up afterwards, before I wick. But if it was from the coils, I'd see this buildup on my Kayfun V4 and Veritas when I use the same juice, but I don't see it on either of those systems

Thats weird I would stop vaping on it now...
MBV Juice tends to be really gunky but it doent sound like the culprit i would replace all orings and use different wire.... give that go might work but that's all i can think off sorry

Maybe give getting that glass window back in another go i know its meant to be hell but someone must have posted a good method here or on youtube

I've been using MT for about 1 year straight with nothing like this happening. I'd say I might notice that more juice collects under the drip tip than with some other juices. But I've never seen this before, not even with MT's Strawbana flavor.

I'll try switching out the O-rings and wire first. If that doesn't work, I may have to try getting new glass in. I agree, that's all I can think of

It was Vapowire. I've been using the same roll for about 8 months with this problem never happening until this past coil. The 28g is the same brand without the problem. I'll be trying some other brands to see how I like them, since I like working with 26g instead of 28. The only thing I like more about the 28 is that I got a 1.3ohm build out of 6 wraps instead of .86 ohms with thicker wire.

A new question. I switched to 28g with no more gunk being spit onto the deck or into the chimney. With 7 touching warps around a 3mm screwdriver, I get 1.46 ohms. I like it there, maybe a little closer to 1.2 ohm, but it's good enough.

Over the past few weeks, I've been noticing that my coils only last a few days before they get coated and start to taste harsh. I'm using Vape Wild Fruit Hoops at 65%VG. Normally I'd say that the high VG is what is coating it so thickly, but I use max VG in my subtank Mini, and those coils last weeks, not days.

Do you have any ideas about what is causing my coils to gunk up so fast? It could be cheap juice, but my subtank mini uses the same juice

Yer was thinking about this a few days ago The sub tank probably uses a higher gauge wire like 26 gauge so more surface area that needs to be covered in gunk - well at least that's what I think is happening for the best part.
Also the cotton on the subtank (vertical coils) almost act more like a filter i recon slightly reducing the amount of flavoring gunk getting stuck on your coil - just a theory but it would explain the some of the reasons behind the slightly more muted flavor
Lastly a reasonable proportion for the crap on your coil is dust from the air apparently so maybe you leave your Kanger tank on your desk while your Squape R lives in your pocket? maybe you expose it to other more dusty environments?
But yer i also find coil heads last longer but that might be also down to the fact that the flavor is less noticable thus its harder to notice a flavour shift GL

That's a good point about how I carry them around. My Subtank lives in my carrying case, while the squape lives in my pocket.

The theory about the gauge wire makes some sense, but I don't see how it make the heads last for weeks instead of 1-2 days like the squape.

It's not that big of a deal, since wrapping a new coil every other day is still cheaper than changing out coils every other week
