I bought my REO mini in Feb of 2011 cause it was dark on the way home from work...it was too tough to drip into a little Joye 510 atty and too far between lights.
My birfday is next month, I'll hafta be on my best behavior between now and then
The drive into town from here has 4 maybe 5 lights, but its almost 40 miles to town
If Rob had offered a squonker anywhere close to a $75 price point I would have been there a long time ago, and he would have been a very rich man.

There's like 45 mechs in boxes in the garage right now and another 60 or so in the house.
We still have more gear en route.

Well, in fairness only one is a squonker.
But it's actually drawing me over to the dark side.
I've always though the concept was fantastic, but most squonkers just wouldn't work for me.
This thing hits like a tube mech, rock solid, can handle lower builds than the battery will safely allow, is extremely simple to break down and clean, and doesn't cost as much as a car payment.
Not exactly squonk porn worthy, but it gets the job done.

I don't think Rob's lacking in the funds department at all judging by the fact he's still in business making Reo's and adding guitars to his mfg model!!

I watched Robs thread where he said he had to lay off his employees.
You must have missed it.
He blamed clones. Even though he sells clone attys.
I like REOs.. Though I believe they are over priced, and that flimsy spring wont work for ME.
Hotsprings are IMHO a poor design and have no place in a mech.
