Just got in a new mod. Bought it damaged from a member of these forums. It was cracked, but I have already stabilized the crack, now I am getting ready to fill in any gaps and polish it up. Pictures do not do it justice, such a beautiful piece.

No kidding. As soon as I saw it i knew I had to have it. I do woodworking all the time, and I don't mind a few blemishes, just makes me a lot less nervous about scratching it. I will not be too worried about taking it out of the house, unlike if I bought it new.

How do you repair such cracks etc?
I outlined the damaged area with wax, leaving what I wanted to repair unwaxed. Used super thin CA glue to fill the crack and adhear it back and stablize it so it doesnt crack any further. The glue does not stick to the finish that is covered in wax, so it doesn't ruin any undamaged finish. Then I mixed up some epoxy to fill any gaps that the glue missed, then polished the wax off the mod and polished any excess glue or epoxy even with the original finish.

Nice, would you share before and after pics? I saw that squonk for sale but don't have the skills like you do. You got a gorgeous mod there.
I actually did not take before pics, didn't think about it before I started, but the sale thread has great pics of the damage. I will try to snag a pic or two from there then I will take better pics of it tomorrow to show it after the repair, it came out good, but not as nice as i was hoping, there is a slight ledge that can be seen and felt on a part of the crack. I still want to take it down to my woodshop and polish off the last couple of stubborn spots that my small tools I used didn't want to remove without overheating the finish.

Thanks, I really like this mod, it is beautiful especially in person.

The raised part I mentioned is right under where the crack goes from the side to the top. I tried clamping it, but didnt put enough pressure on it from fear of damaging it more. Other than that, it sealed the crack nicely, and only shows up white when light it directly shined on it like the flash did in the pictures.

That is a vicious ant spade 75c, pretty sure they only made that one compatable with 18650s.
Thought it was the standard spade not the 75c. If I'm not mistaken the 21700 is raised right behind the rda. At least if memory serves. Oh well, thanks for the clarification.
