You should try our bloke. When he first became president in 2013 the exchange rate was $1=EGP 7 now it's 14.10

So, I don't typically measure, but I just tried.
And
a) used a fresh battery, and the old one was WAY higher than I thought it would be when removed...
b) Here's what I got: Battery at 4.24, Coil at 0.55, fired reads 3.84
So that's 0.4 ohms v-drop, right? Isn't that better than it should be??

a low dollar isn't all bad, when ours is low, our export markets really take off

same logic that will let me buy US mods quicker if USD is low... good for me here, and our gov always says low dollar is positive owing to exports

before the election campaign, i was getting 64c us to my dollar, it is 76 now and i'll be buying more

We export rocks.

The world likes our rocks when they are cheap. If our dollar is good then iron ore, coal, uranium sales plummet.

We are steady against gbp and euro. But stronger against usd atm. So I have assumed it is low usd. Which is good, i like murikan mods.

That 3.84V includes battery internal resistance, so depending on what battery you used and it's age that sounds not half bad for a mass produced electronics mod.

I was surprised - like I said, I don't typically check, but really expected it to be higher than that...
Not much in the way of electronics here - really just the fire button.
And it was an LG HG2, not brand spanking new, but not old and fading either...
