I really want to find an affordable regulated squonker to play with.
IMO it's a great mod for the money but has terrible battery life. It also won't recognize SS in temp mode, other than that I've had no issues with mine.
I do like it, it's a great starting bf mod, like mentioned above it has problems with battery life, I've also gotten the overtime protection icon on a few builds that had worked fine on my dna 40 mods. I think the chip is just a little cheap, if it had a DNA or sxj350 chip I think it would perform a little better
It just seems to be the ONLY regulated squonk I may reasonably be able to afford in the not too distant future, without being a clone (vaporflask), and I am not a big fan of the case design of the Geyscano.

We're the shortcomings just the battery life and not being able to use ss? I have a geyscano I'm upgrading from. That one has terrible batt life.

I've had the steamcrave for months & I've found no other shortcomings than the battery life or SS in temp control. Carry extra batteries, they pop out easy so it's no big deal. I can't see anyone doing any better for the money.
I don't think hours is a good indicator since builds, watts & use vary but I can typically get a between half & a quarter of the bottle if I vape around 40w.
You should not be building that low on regulated devices. It is regulated so you can give yourself the watts and heat you want by using up/down buttons. No wonder your battery life sucks.
Build 1.1 ohms or higher for regulated unless it is Ni wire. You will get far greater battery life and performance at 1.2 ohms.

Penguiness is right. A higher ohm and lower watt build will stretch out your battery life. But if you roll dual clap tons or something like that it will be hard to keep it above .5 ohms.

I've seen them sold three ways: quick strike x1 sales on the Frankenskull FB page, small site drops on Tuttaltrofumo (like the last one of 50 was sold out in seconds) and one list I've seen in Tuttaltrofumo FB group. Getting one will likely take both perseverance and a good amount of luck.
