The difference between the economics of mass production and small artisanal production is the difference between night and day. I see merit in both arguments. When it comes to products involving manual artistic work they should be treated differently from those involving basic manufacturing processes. On the other hand I understand that consumers should not pay the cost of inefficiency by paying high premium for regular products that lack innovation or creativity simply because they took longer to produce.

My Grandmother was an antique dealer and as a kid I would ask her what something was worth. Her answer was always similar to "The book says $$$, but it really is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. No more, no less."

Exactly what I would love to build. Any chance of a picture of the inside? How on earth did you fit dual 18650's a board and a bottle? Thanks in advance :)

Love the Altoids one! I'm new to squonking but very interested in learning to build them. Don't have a metal shop tho :(((
Beautiful work!
Thanks! That pic goes way back to the beginning of this great thread. I have a few more these days. :)

Just in case you didn't know that this section existed

Bottom Feeder Mods

The members there are super helpful, although there isn't as much traffic as there used to be. But if you read some of the older threads, you can learn pretty much everything you need to build anything you'd want to build. With patience and trial and error, of course.

Where do you find all these mods? Not just you. All these great mods pictured here. I look but could only find a few always sold out.

Facebook is pretty much the main source. The Squonker's Paradise group in particular and their associated classifieds group. There are also FB groups associated with numerous manufacturers as well as a couple of Italian online vendors - the mods are usually made available through randomized lists or F5 wars in those groups.

I know a lot of folks don't do the FB thing but it's a primary outlet for mid-to-high end gear these days.
