Does the battery really have to go in positive end down as shown in Geekay's video? I've been using mech squonkers exclusively for 3-1/2 years now, but there's still no way I would put the positive end down in that mod. Any flaw in the wrap would mean an instant dead short.
I wonder if it matters really which way the battery would go in. Why would it matter?
Take the wrap off a battery.
Put that battery in in the mod positive end up. Assuming that installing it positive up is possible, the mod will work fine, and all is well.
Now put it in positive end down. Stop/Wait! Make sure you do this outside and make sure you're wearing a full fireman's suit because doing this will short the battery the moment you install it.

Oh, and I shoulda brought one of my nicer l'il pinches. That one there (on the right) has is a simple oil-finished walnut that's been my ADV for almost four years now. It goes everywhere with me and has acquired some character marks as a result.

I just can't get over how beautiful those are! I just had a crazy analogy about vaping hardware. It's kind of like pens. Sure a bic will do the trick and you have all sorts of them, but it's just not the same as a Mont Blanc. I'll be thinking of that pic the rest of the evening!
