I've been squonking for some time now, probably about 5 years, and love my rdas. Every once in a while I get the itch and buy a couple of newer rtas. One that I have bought here lately is the aqua reboot and I'll have to say I'm impressed. Nice saturated, warm and the flavor rivals some of the best rtas that I I've every had. IMHO, of course.
Yep, I agree. For me, the squape e-motion gives a fantastic vape. What puts squonkers on top for me is I can clean, recoil, rewick, juice up and throw in a new battery in about 5 minutes if I hurry. Plus, I prefer the form factor.

For Pure Flavor, nothing I have beats my NarDa RDA's. Just a Big, Fat, Dense, Blanket of Lip Smacking Goodness.

But I don't Run a Squonk Mod/NarDa when I'm on the go. I run a Cut-Down SXK Wine or even a Sub/TopTank Mini on a Small Mod or a SxS. I'll take a step back Flavor/Hit wise for the Easy of Use factor a RTA gives me.

Same with when I'm all Shut Down and Reading or Watching TV in Bed. Squonking on an RDA just doesn't work all that great when Laying in Bed. Whereas my RTA's can be used at Any Angle. And they Don't Leak.

So..... Squonk vs. RTA?

I'll take Both. It just Depends on where I am and what I'm doing.

I assume you're the guy that talked NASA into that million dollar space pen
(btw I know it cost like $3 and was made by an unrelated company)

That leads us directly to more important questions: what would work better in 0-gravity, an RTA or an RDA?
Do we maybe need a "space vape" pressurized juice feeding system that automatically keeps the wicks wet, eliminating both tanks and squonkers?

-"never have a leak again, no matter if on a plane or mountain"
-"can be used at any angle"™

Add a pressurized air capsule and remove airflow openings from the atomizer, you could vape under water

I don't know, I always thought the flavor in an RDA was better due to the short distance from coil to mouth.

Have you seen the "chimney" on the Serpent SMM? It's almost non existent. The distance between where the coil sits and the bottom of the drip tip is about 2 mm maybe 3mm taller than the same distance on my Entheon RDA.

Yep....it's a short chimney. I have an smm. I'm not sure that's the RTA I'd use to prove any points regarding flavor, though. It's ok, I guess, but it's no flavor powerhouse .

Squape e-motion, doggy style, skyline, hurricane 1.3, taifun gt 2,3 or 4, dwarv, pico....

Aren't all of those tight MTL tanks? I do MTL, but I can't stand the super tight draw of pure MTL tanks. That is why I tend to use DTL tanks close off the air flow and use a restrictive drip tip. I like an easier MTL pull.

After trying squonking again I still prefer RTAs. I don't need a huge build deck. It is impractical for me to vape below .8 ohms due to the cost of the juice. For me nothing beats a Siren 22. Fads may come and go but it is the perfect execution of top fill, uncomplicated vaping in my opinion. With a higher ohm build I have less power consumption and am able to use less flavoring to get a perfect vape. Plus, I consume less liquid. I do not like paying the same price for e-liquid as I did for cigarettes. I vape 10 to 20 mls per day. At 50 cents a ml that is 5 to 10 dollars if I buy commercial e-liquid at the low end. I have never had a problem with Sirens leaking unless I overfilled them or did not wick them properly.

I have a Zeus and a narda clone. I vaped the same juice in both and got almost two different tastes. I can't quite describe the difference, but its there.

I like both a lot, and have recently ordered a doggystyle to see how other rtas taste. I have also ordered an entheon clone to see if its different from my narda clone.

No...squape, hurricane, skyline, Taifun...all of those are restricted dtl that can be closed down.

I'm going to have to say RTAs. Honestly, they have come far enough that I find the flavor and ease of use to be pretty superior. I did try the innoken lift and didn't care for it much it just seemed unnecessary and didn't really "offer" that much. Well, more capacity is okay, although to be honest as a MTL flavor junkie, I'm not filling my tanks that often, and I prefer the variety of a bunch of flavors during the day and etc. The squonk thing seems to work better for those who prefer ONE ADV, to be honest. For me, filling is not a major chore, and I like having several setups with me.

I'm not sure that it's really a fair comparison (for me) since I haven't tried an actual squonker but I just tend to want variety. I can see how they'd be totally useful/preferred for other folks, but I'm happy with what I have and don't want to buy 12 squonkers, quite honestly.

Sometimes I kind of think it's what you try first, in a way. I have tried many RTAs and have found my happy places, and it seems silly (to me) to spend a lot of money moving from that place just to have a bigger capacity juice well. If someone's out all day and working I can for sure see the appeal of a squonker though.

I also think it doesn't have to be either/or as well. I might wind up squonking someday, who KNOWS. :)

Just one thing to note for Anyone who doesn't have a RDA/Squonk Mod and is wondering about it.

A Squonk Mod's doesn't really have any effect on how the Hit you get from an RDA taste. It just makes it Easier to use and Less Hassle than having to have to use a Dripper Bottle and Drip into an RDA every 4 or 5 Hits.

So if someone is wanting to try an RDA, but doesn't want to shell out the Money for a Squonk Mod to go with it, You Don't Have to. Just buy an RDA that comes with both BF 510 Pin and a Regular 510 Pin and use the Regular 510 Pin and your Favorite Mod.

And if you Like the Hit you get from the RDA, Great. Then you might consider getting a Squonk Mod to make things a Whole Lot Easier. All you have to do is to swap out the Regular 510 Pin with the BF Pin and you're ready to Squonk.

And if you Don't Like the hit you get from an RDA, then you haven't Spent the Money on a Squonk Mod.

I haven't squonked in a few years, but one thing I loved about it was having it filled with my usual unflavored and then occasionally dripping a couple drops of a full flavored liquid (like Halo Bella Valente, which I still miss) and slowly vaping it into oblivion.

I'm rejoining the squonker ranks soon (a Furyan is on the way), and trying a new flavor (Valiente) that's supposed to be a Bella Valente clone (we'll see after it steeps a few weeks).

My problems with squonking isn't the mechanics but rather the atomizers. Having COPD, I can't tolerated big clouds or DL style vaping and most atomizers just can't cut it. I have a couple of BF atomizers (NarDa and Speed Revolution) that are almost OK but still a bit to much for me.

I really would prefer squonking, but just can't find a setup that works well enough for my needs.
