Squonking( bottom feed)

So I just got my first squonker, a Reo, and am just completly amazed by the performance. I unfortunatly am using a clone Velocity at the moment as the legits are terribly hard to come by, but the performance, and convenience is freaking outstanding. Why arent more people doing this? Why are bottom feeder mods and atty's so hard to come by? All the flavor of dripping with the ease of a tank...

Opinions on squonking are appreciated.

I can't believe it myself why there aren't more squonkers out there, but they are growing! I have 3 Reos, a Woodvil, TMod, 4 Pekos, and a RSM Cruiser, all bottom fed. There are actually more and more bottom fed devices and atties being introduced all the time. We have a few suppliers of bottom fed atties here on the forum. Dripping provides the best flavor and vapor of any vaping style, but having to carry around bottles of juice and drip every couple of drags is awful. It's far more convenient having the juice onboard. Check out these:

Thanks! I have actualy been lurking for quite awhile, and got a good deal in the classifieds on the Reo... Cost is definately prohibitive on alot of these, so I can see that as a deterrent for some, me as well.

I hear you! They can get quite costly for custom squonkers, and my first Reo came from the classifieds also. A good place to find some cool stuff. It's funny, you can get a regular mechanical box mod cheap, but when it comes to bottom feed, the price skyrockets. You know, Rob at Reosmods sells a bunch of atties now for a really good price. Catfish might have some cheaper ones, but are mostly higher end ones modified to bottom feed. Roscoe at Apex sells lower priced ones on a smaller scale. And always am seeing bottom fed atties and mods on the classifieds. Glad you made it to the bottom fed world!

Funny squonking story!

I was in a training class last week sitting on a bench on a break just vaping away on my reo. There was a guy sitting on another bench with some of his class mates from another class vaping a box mod and tank. I should have known better when I realized he was one of those self proclaimed "know it alls" just by listening to his conversation.

He looked over and asked "watch vaping on?" I said "a Reo". He just looked, and I said "its a bottom feed dripper" to which he said "oh, a squonker." I nodded my head.

He then went on to take a big lung hit on whatever it was he had, and said "yeah those things weren't very popular when they came over from Europe about a year or so ago." I just stared at him, and grabbed my things and walked away.

I couldn't take it. Not that early in the morning. I didnt see him again, or I would have made him look foolish. I hate smug "know it alls", especially if they are idiots!

I've been proudly squonking since about June of 2010 (started with a cheap, leaky bottom-fed mod called a WetBox). I bought one of the first run of REO Mini's in September of that year, followed by one of the first Grand's a couple months later, and it's been nothing but REO's ever since.

6 months into vaping Reoville folks talked me into my first LPG...Dang well over a year ago and I really didn't need another LPG...but I figured WTH and got one anyway.[emoji12]

LOL, I am kind of starting to see a trend amongst squonkers...once you bottom feed, you have no other need!

Me thinks I will soon bee giving up the rest of my stuff in the classifieds too.

I have an LP/SL Grand with a Chalice III on it. I also have a new LP Grand w/ brass door coming in today. Have to have something to put my new Stumpy on. Been using Reos since May 2011.
