Picked up a hcigar Brass Caravela a while back and it's seems to be performing very well. Solid build. Threads extremely good especially after dressing them good. What I really like about it is, it's starting to age nicely. Brass is taking on a nice patina that really makes the Russian 91(authentic) look nice sitting on top of it, with the firing button and ring above the locking ring still nice and shiny. Love it! Don't plan on polishing it anytime soon. Haven't tried anything copper yet. Of course ss is a given.

The most durable metals for mods and the best metals for conducting electricity are are two different things.

Best electrical conductivity:

1. silver*
2. copper*
3. gold*
4. aluminum*
5. red brass
6. yellow brass
7. carbon steel
8. stainless steel
9. titanium* #

*pure elemental metals
# titanium can be a better conductor than some carbon and stainless steel alloys

Best metal for mod body durability:

Easy. Stainless steel. Tougher than any other metal used for mods and any coating including coatings made for firearms (like Cerakote).

I seem to be fond of copper. it shines up really nicely and i like the red glow it has. stainless is nice but i prefer the brushed stainless look over the polished. brass is new for me, honestly i just got my first mod today with brass. i have 2 copper mods, jd tech stingray (black copper and red copper limited edition) my brass mod is the vape jam heimdall black edition. i really really love when copper and brass is paired with that flat/matte black on a mod. i mean i was absolutely blown away with the black stingray but man... when i saw the heimdall black with brass i just had to have it. its stunning.

The black coating wears off really fast and the thing ends up looking awful until you completely strip it down to the copper.

yup I saw that on you tube.. But the over all design and concept is really nice..all the mods coming out now a days are just cheaply looking.. I have been vaping on my DIABLO mod for like 2 years now and that mod is the best mod I've ever handled, its heavy, solid, threads are thick unlike the ones they sell today,
It ...... me off everytime they say YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH THREADS???? really?? I'm just saying

yeah it wears off but it doesnt look awful, i dont think thats possible for a stingray to look awful! it has some battle scars, some flair. my 18650 tube and extension are mint. i use the 18350 tube daily. such a good stealth vape. i will never strip the thing to bare copper.... i have my limited edition red copper for that! :D
