Huh?......Any chance you could show me something that suggests the
supplier referred to all through this thread contributes one penny of all the overpriced items he sells to fighting the FDA.
Remember..I said supplier, not manufacturer.
Thanks
Go look back through press releases that the company being referred to has put out attacking the FDA for its biased and deceptive practices throughout this whole thing (both this year and back into last summer). Every time there was a major event, they had a PR out about it. If Banzhaf posted a PR, they issued a response almost immediately, along with a couple of other companies, like E Cigarette Direct in the UK. I'd post some as proof, but press releases on this forum are forbidden from being posted when they mention a supplier. What's funny is, a press release can't cross the news wire without credits as to where the information came from or who submitted it, hence the inability of suppliers like E Cigarettes Choice to submit press releases without attaching their name to them in some capacity.
I'm not saying E Cig Choice is the best supplier/manufacturer out there (they manufacture the No. 7 brand) or that their decisions are always the best, but press releases are neither cheap nor free (if you use a news wire to put out your information to make sure it hits local news outlets, which is the fastest and most effective way to spread the word about anything). You can get free press releases through a few companies, but they don't get picked up very well. Some press releases can cost $50... others into the several hundred dollar range, depending on how many journalist outlets you want to hit. They blast the FDA and ASH on a fairly regular basis.
I've worked in online marketing for years and to send out press releases in the number they have over the last year isn't cheap. They don't fight the FDA in court, they fight them over the news wires. This is going to end up being a public relations war that most e-cigarette suppliers and manufacturers don't have the resources to fight.
You want to know who's fighting the FDA and ASH outside the courtroom? Go do some digging in Google news about e-cigarettes, ASH, and the FDA. If it wasn't sent out through a free PR service, it cost some bank. While smaller suppliers typically
only send out "buy my stuff" press releases, companies like E Cigarettes Choice and E Cigarette Direct are actively fighting the good fight and are using their resources to help make sure whenever someone types in "e-cigarette" into Google, the news results show something positive about our movement more often than something negative. And that is worth its weight in gold.
Public opinion is swayed by the news media and has for the past 100 years. It's been said by propaganda specialists that no matter how big the lie is, the more the people will begin to believe it, as long as the lie continues to be shoved into their faces. The more the public sees "e-cigarettes are bad, says the FDA", the more the public will believe it. It's that simple, so there HAS to be an active counter argument in the public eye to keep things in our favor or it would easily give the FDA the public support to have banned these long ago. And if you read the wording on the FDA and special interest press releases, there were no facts involved. It was deceptions and slyly worded lies to sway public opinion and that's why Banzhaf puts out as many press releases as he does. This is a numbers game... well written press releases about our movement going out constantly is going to be the only way to keep public opinion in our favor... it's all about playing the game on ASH and the FDA's terms. If it's not played on their terms, we all lose. How do we lose? It's very simple; once public opinion is swayed, politicians can easily write in laws without opposition from the public that can easily undo what SE and Njoy are trying to do in court right now. It can all go away if public opinion is swayed in the other direction, whether it's before the court ruling, after the court ruling, or during. It can all go away just like that. Poof.
