There is a big thread on ECF about this. Some guy even had testing done by a lab If I remember, which in the end came back with nothing negative.

I believe at the end, the general consensus was not to over oxidize ss mesh if your paranoid of possible contaminates.

The link I was referring to, that the moderators moved, was from a completely different thread dealing with media news. They broke that link and moved it to the proper sub-forum. Which is what led me to break this link. The second one should work.
