SS rope questions

I've noticed that some have passed from mesh to rope but:

1. Does it need to be galvanized or non galvanized and does it even matter?
2. Doesn't rope take longer to heat up because its bulkier?

Non-galvanized, non-lubricated SS rope, is what you're looking for...

And yes, it does take a little longer to heat up... rule thumb that I've seen and follow is to wrap one less coil on your normal build is, to compensate...ie if you normally wrap 5 coils, wrap 4.... if 4, then 3... anything less than that, you should probably be changing the gauge of your coil wire... of course, this only applies, if your mod can take it....
