The Vamo is going to be my next purchase. I've simply heard too many great things to pass it up. Since it takes both 18650 and 18350 batts in multiple configurations, many have recommended getting it with 2 IMR 18650s and 2 pair of IMR 18350s, with a charger as well if you need one.

It does have 510 as well as ego threading, but a T3 won't fit in the well, so a $2 510 to ego adapter is probably worth picking up as well

Now that I think about it, for the $40-50 price tag, I may pick up 2 of 'em.

I was thinking of getting this and making it a kit. What options should I get? I have always used a Vision Spinner and this will be my first time using these batteries and chargers.

VAMO Rev.2 Variable Power (adjustable wattage), Variable Voltage APV - Polished Stainless

Thanks!

The batteries are fine so pick up at least a pair of 18650s for normal mode, a pair of 18350s for shorty mode although three or four of each would be better. Ideally you would want one battery to use, one battery resting before charging and one battery resting after charging.

I rarely see kind things said about Trustfire chargers on ECF. I don't believe they automatically shut off after the charge cycle completes which means you have to watch charging batteries like a hawk and pull them off the charger right away once they are charged.

You might want to pick up an Xtar WP2 II or Nitecore-Sysmax i2 charger. The Xtar is probably more widely used in the vaping community but I find the Nitecore makes firmer connections and doesn't require the annoying use of spacers. Also, it automatically provides the correct amps while the Xtar requires manual setting of amps. I got my Xtar at Vapor Beast and my Nitecore at Orbtronic but they are both available elsewhere.

It would be an excellent idea to give this post on battery safety safety a very careful read before using your VAMO.

I just bought the ss one from smoktek and added the batteries and the trustfire charger. Not sure what everyone is concerned about with the trustfire chargers mine shuts off after charging is complete. It is not the fastest charger out there but it certainly does the trick. Make sure you sign up for the newsletter before you order and they will email you a code for 10% off. All in all I would recommend smoktek all the way.

Don't pay over $40 to $50 unless you are in a real hurry to part with your money. exhalevapors.com is taking orders at a discounted rate of $36.98 plus shipping for delivery around February 28, 2013 on Chrome or Black Chrome. I do not know about the stainless, but you can call or email Abe and he can give you a heads up on the stainless. Many have obtained their Vamos from Exhale Vapors at great prices and fast shipping when they are in stock. I picked up my stainless steel Vamo for $47.00 with free shipping from them several weeks ago.
