SSGGTS coming. what else will I need?

So a friend is helping me out and selling me one of his.

My question is what else will I need? I will hopefully have a genny to set on top and am looking like crazy for a stealth cap, but what else will I want?

A penelope? A ODY? I still do not understand all the parts that I will need or want.

If you want to use it with a Genesis atomizer then you need the stealth caps or ...a lot of adapters.

But THE best combination, the reason for the GGTS existence, is with the GG Odysseus. Oh, and don't forget the Odysseus base.

EDIT: PS: In case you haven't got it yet Ody (a.k.a. Odysseus) is a repairable atomizer just like any Genesis. A lot better though

of course, there are no fuse upgrades or o-rings available. Not sure when they will be.

Hey ob! Glad to see you got a ggts coming!

I think ody is better than others because of the versatility. You can run it on 510 & ggts native (using the ggts base you gain air control). You can also run many different wick setups - silica being the most prevalent and intended - but you can run ss mesh. There's also the "accessories" or "expandability" with the kir fanis clear tanks, different tank sizes, drip mode, ce2 mode..ect.

Hope that helps a bit.

I'm only in the gg game for about a month and a half now. Learned a lot quick. There's a ton of adapters and things you can do with all the products (different setups ect...) you'll get it. Lots of great peeps here to help, videos and of course imeo!

Help. I tried to read through all the info, and am so lost. It is like I just started vaping. If I have the device coming and have a z-atty-g to put on top, what else do I need for now?

I know I need the fuse upgrade? But why? does this not come with it?

If I wanted a ody or penelope what do I need in addition to those pieces. I know the ody's are gone. I have no idea about versions etc and what else I would need for those.

The ONLY thing I do know is that I need stealth caps and they are going to be murder to find?

I dont know what Zatty is so I cant answer to this question ob

fuse protects you and your battery from shorts. It has a very thin spring inside that gets burned if a big amount of current goes through it.

Ody and penelope have 510 threads so you will need 2 adapters to make them work on GGTS because of its connector that is inside the CT

I dont have any stealth caps for now

I didn't mean to derail your thread. It may have been off the topic at hand, but it was indeed relevant to the title of this thread.

the ODY v2 is the newest correct? Is this essentially the same thing as a penelope but bigger? are they no longer being made and that is why they are so expensive when they come up in the classy's?

Ody 2 is newest. It is a similar wick/coil config in a ceramic cup with juice control as the Pen. There is no air control on the Pen as of yet as can be achieved with the GGTS Ody Base. There has been no indication that Odys are discontinued. They are currently sold out at vendors sites hence the inflated prices on the classies and unofficial GG vendor sites.

The Ody and Penelope come with everything you need to use them on many 510 devices though on some 510 devices you may need a 510-510 extension. Both fit a Provari just fine. To get the most benefit out of an Ody with a GGTS an Ody base is recommended as it allows air/draw control and it makes the unit one linear piece. It attaches directly to the tube instead of a 510 connection making it super sturdy.

Either can be used on a GGTS Rev. 2 as is but there will be an unsightly and precarious gap. A Stealth Cap will rectify that for both or an Ody base for the Ody. The Ody base does not work with a Pen

You will want to get either more ready wires or separate (R)esistance wire (Kanthal D, A or A-1 32 AWG or Nichrome 32 are the standards though you can use other gauges) and NR (no resistance) wire (.999 silver dead soft 30 gauge ) to make your own. Both tank mods come with only 1 ready wire. They also come with a meter of 3mm silica wick which should last awhile but pick some of that up too. There is some xc-116 ceramic wick that some are using as well not to mention steel mesh, cotton, hemp and other experimental media.

If vendors are out if the above items, they are readily available from other sources.

The Pennys are surely not going to be discontinued any time soon as they are optimized to complement the upcoming Proteus.
