You know I've never tested it when it runs out. I'll do that next time. I just throw another bat in. Never been stranded so far. I'll report back. I chain vape all day at 9w. Change the 490s once, maybe twice in a day. I'm awaiting my top tube ( just ordered tonight ) and my extended tube from England so I can run the 18650s.

That'd be cool...thank you.
BTW I saw a pic of a TS using the kick and an 18650 without an extended tube. The poster claimed it worked...it did expose some of the threads on the telescope though.

Just to throw in my .02 on the kick discussion as I've been using my kick in my GGTS since release and it is the only thing I use in my GGTS since then.

For me 18350s are about useless under 30 min
18500 maybe an hour
18650 I have used 3 different IMR batteries
AW IMR 18650 1600 MaH I get 1.5-1.75 hours
AW IMR 18650 2000 Mah I get 1.75 hours -2 hours
Panasonic CGR18650 I get 2.5-3 hours

These are all with a well cleaned GGTS but the time drops as the buttons/threads ect start getting dirty. I usually start getting stutter fire around 3.6v when clean and 3.7 when dirty. When clean battery is useless at about 3.55v and 3.6 dirty.

These are my run times with a brass telescope and the brass adjustable throw button. Run times and kick off were slightly worse with SS tele and SS button.

Edited to add some other info
I consider myself a heavy vaper I normally vape 8-10 ml a day. That being said I would imagine a 3ml a day vaper would get more time out of batteries.
Also the above times are averages using either Odysseus or Penelope and my coils are normally around 2.1 ohms. I have the wattage set at max 99% of the time.

So what do you do normally?, just carry 4-5 batt with you everyday. Its really short batt life even for heavy vaping. Got to be a better way, lol

Thanks fright. So that's 2 quite different experiences and mine is on par with fright's which is why I was saying the Provari is much more efficient. I vape about 4 ml a day and an 18350 in a Provari with the Penelope at 1.7 ohm and 3.9v will last me at least 5 hrs. I can get close to the same results ( with drop off of course) using the TS in stealth mode without the kick with a 1.2 ohm coil.
Question: when the Provari measures the battery, it does it under load, correct? Because if so, this is part of the problem. My led starts blinking when the battery is 3.2v but when I use the kick and it starts misfiring or quits altogether, I measure that battery in the Provari and it reads 3.6v.
If this turns out to be the best the kick can do, then I'll just stick with the 1.2 ohm coils without the kick until VIR is released. I'm hoping Imeo comes up with a much better solution for regulated vaping.

My battery life experience is much better. I am taking notes today. Will report back.

My overall experience with a kick on a 1.8 ohm coil running at 7.5 watts is basically about half a day on an 18500 AW IMR going through 4-5ml of juice a day.

It's been extremely consistent over a week. Either I'm replacing the second battery right at the end of the day because it's starting to stutter puff or early the next morning.

This seems on par with performance in a ProVari on the same battery with a few caveats. I was getting better battery life in the ProVari but that's simply because I was using 3ohm coils running at higher volts. A higher ohm coil running at the same wattage as a lower ohm coil draws less amps from the battery. The difference between a 2ohm and 3ohm coil vaped at the same wattage(3.9 volts and 4.8 volts respectively) is about 20 percent more battery amp draw on the 2ohm coil. I'm getting a few less hours on the kick then on the ProVari and I assue it's due to the lower ohm coils. I won't use a higher ohm coil though since I want to be able to switch to not using a kick at will and a 3ohm won't vape well at 3.7.

I normally have 1 18650 in the mod and 2 in a battery box and a dual 18650 vv mod in the car if I am going out all day

Ok. I started at 9:00 am with a freshly charged (Pila) AW IMR 18490. It tested on my Fluke 115 at 4.184v. Using an Ody with TS base. Used a 1.6 ohm coil and had the Kick set at close to 9w. Vaped two tanks, about 6ml of BWB RY4 24mg. Used it constantly till about 6 pm. Its still going but had to switch flavors and go to a lower nic for the evening. Bat tests at 3.618v. I'll use it more in the morning and test again when it shuts down.
