Standard "Getting Started" Thread...with a twist

If you've been stalking me in the forums you know that I'm low on cash at this point. My wife lost her job and at this time anything higher than a $30 purchase that isn't groceries or gas is a BIG deal.

So...starting with ecigexpress, spending less than $23 is the challenge. (Seven dollars shipping hits the $30 mark)

I was thinking the 120ml 24mg 50/50 for my base. That's $8.50, so $14.50 for flavors (which translates to "just under" five flavors at $2.99.) I'll be re-using bottles I've gotten from premixed stuff and have a syringe from my CE3 purchases, so I have a tiny, ghetto DIY lab.

I'm thinking Ecto Cooler and Monsterous as safety flavors, in case I suck at DIY.

Leaving only three...I had planned on getting sweetener and sweet cream to be able mod flavors that weren't doing it for me, but that's out the window...unless it shouldn't be.

I'm planning on going pure Flavor West, though I've read good and bad things about Tasty Puff. One thing that is constant throughout though is that TP has very strong flavors, so the 7.5ml you get for $3 might have a greater value than the FW. But I am not sure that those who praise it are not of the "uncultured palate" demographic.

Besides the Ecto and Monsterous, I was thinking watermelon, peach, and coconut. I've got around 5ml of Ultamint (Topvapors via madvapes) that I can add to stuff to get a little mint so I'm skipping the menthol.

I know it's not the typical request here. I'll be able to order more stuff in approx 2 weeks, hopefully. Low funds sucks.

So...thoughts? Suggestions?

Check out Wizard Labs. The nic is less expensive and fabulous. They have 8ml TPA and LorAnns for $1.49 in glass vials. I think you'll get more variety and bang for your buck

I got the $1.49 flavors from WL, the four I tried are great.

My siggestion, the 24mg is too simple, all you are doing is adding flavor. Far more bang for your buck if you get 48MG PG only and get a $3 bottle of VG at a drug store. Get a syringe or three for oral meds for free when you are there. It's $4.50 total more than your 24mg base and you will get twice the juice. That will hold you a LOT longer until funds are a bit easier.

Another suggestion...get two safe flavors that will mix well together or be good as a single. Boom, you have three flavors to hold you.

P.S. WL sent my order with a sample of ethyl maltyl...not sure if they do on all orders.

Yeah, if a DIY-er is on a Budget than getting Higher Nicotine Base can Usually save them money.

I like to make about 40%PG|60%VG 18mg recipes. So I buy 48mg PG Nicotine Base. I then cut it down with VG which costs next to nothing.

You could still get a $3 bottle of VG and cut to a little lower nic level for times when you chain vape.
