I have 2 standards and 1 mini. The mini gets most of my attention. It's my away from home mod and is either in my hand or my front pants pocket.

The Tatroe extension ring is only $15, while the Provape extension cap is $25. Both do the same thing. That $10 savings can go toward another battery. I use two 18350 batteries a day.

We have 3 full size ones; I need the extra battery capacity because I work from home and chain-vape all day (I'm about to replace my 18650 for the second time today). I use drippers so the head is not usually a problem and I can stick it in my jeans without issue. I should add I'm 5'2" and while I don't have tiny hands, they are not huge either for a woman.

I might be traveling to Boston in March though and am considering getting a mini for the trip. That's a good excuse, right? :)

I work from home Thurs and Fri so chain vape all day too those days. I'm so stressed out from work by then that it's my stress relief and nothing is more irritating than seeing that battery flashing with no backup. Ugh!!! I'm going to up the battery regardless but I'll try the standard today and see if I like it better.

I'm going to the store today just to make sure I got the right one for me. It's nagging at me. Lol. I'm sure I'll stay with the mini but I want to hold the standard to make absolutely sure.

I totally get it! Not sure if the store carries the extension caps for the mini but would at least hold both standard and mini but with the extension cap on the mini for a fair comparison.

Definitely. I'll do that for sure. It's a lot of money not to be sure. I'll compare everything. :)

I don't mind the size. I just am wavering since the cost of the extender and bigger battery would equal the price of the standard. I'm not happy with the battery of the mini.
The standard won't buy you anything you don't already have except capacity for the 18650 battery (with an extension cap). With 18500 bats at 1100 mah or more, a mini with extension cap should give you an all-day device (YMMV)
Mini w 18350 has short run times, 18490 is better but still lacks the ability to run a full day....I am a moterate vapor and an 18490 5-6 hours tops!!!
Full size Provari with ext. cap and 18650 battery gives a true all day vape......plus it feels the best in the hand, putting the firing button in the correct position while letting you grip the whole mod...+1 for the full size:)
The most important thing to realize is that with the mini you can achieve all 3 battery sizes and the standard size only fits the upper two sizes. Try to hold the provari in all 3 sizes
The Mini in 18350 mode does not fell comfortable in the hand..when firing you have very little to grip plus the standard cap has a sharp edge vs the ext. caps rounded edge.....
Hey Tina, I actually have a spare Tatroe ring that I do not use. I bought 2 of them just in case I liked the looks better and I don't.
I agree the Tatroe rings look awful....and the base eeeeeh what a heavy clunky thing that is...:2c:

Riverboat, are her hands as large as yours? :D I'm short as well with hands that are average....certainly not small. Got both standard size and mini. Do favor the tear drop design. Most comfortable size for standard is WITHOUT the extension cap with rounded edges. The most comfortable size for mini is WITH extension cap. So, medium for me, the 18490 battery, I'd use most. Husband with bigger hands would feel more comfortable using the standard with extension cap, 18650.

However, I like the tear drops; and I like the fact I can adjust to whatever occasion the size of the mini to 3 different batteries with the use of a Tatroe ring. I even use the Tatroe ring instead of the extension cap for the 18490 batt because it does sit better on table top. :)

Ok. Well, go big or go home for me I guess. I have small hands but I really liked the way the standard felt. So, of course I bumped it up a notch with the extender and two 18650 batteries (they have newer versions now which I got) and also bought a aerotank dual coil airflow which in love and some different tanks and carto's. I'm probably the only girl that wears a size 5 ring that has this large device. I love it though. Got the black standard. Happy with my choice.

I could make so many jokes with this post, but I'll contain myself. :)

I bought a mini and I'm thinking of trading it for the standard. Thoughts?

While all five are in daily service, I use my two mini's far more than the three standards. Have ext caps for all of them, but still tend to run 18350 batts in the mini's and 18490 batts in the standards. I did deligate the polished standard to the pass-thru full time when I got it from ProVape through.

Isn't it great to make an "informed" decision?! Coming to ECF should be the FIRST step anyone does before buying something new.

BTW, TinaJaxFL, used to live off Monument Rd in Hidden Hills for 3 yrs during the 1980's. I loved being in Jacksonville and so sad to leave.

Yes!! It was great to compare before dropping that kind of $$. Glad I did.

We love Jacksonville. I grew up in TN but love it here :).

I could only afford one so I had to go with what I thought I would use the most. I still have my Evod if I need to put it in my pocket or something. But I work in an office and from home 2 days a week so the standard worked for me.
