I am going to start rebuilding my Vivi Nova, Vision V3 Clearomiser and a Cobra rba from fasttech (still awaiting from the posty).

From reading up online 0.20mm Kanthal A1 Atomizer Resistance Wire is a good one to start off with. I have found some on ebay so that's that sorted.

Now the wick part i am finding confusing, i was thinking of starting off with some Silica wick from stealthvape.co.uk. They do them in six different thicknesses from 1mm to 3.5mm. Can someone recommend me which thickness to start of with?

I was also interested in trying out some cotton but again, im not sure what thickness or even where i can purchase some in the uk?

Do I need to have a target ohm that i am trying to achieve to be able to know what materials I need to re wick? P.S i do not have a preferred ohm as of yet as I am still playing around and learning.

Last question (sorry!), Can I use the same wick and wire for all three named above or do I need different sizes for say the rba compared to the Vision V3 Clearomiser?

This would seriously clear my head from confusion (for now)!!

Thank you in advance,

Tim :vapor:

For me I tend to use 1mm or 2mm silica wick in my novas (they are the only ones I've re-wicked so far). I do have an aga t2, but not had chance to play with it yet. With the 1mm wick, I can build 2 or 3 strands with 3-5 wraps of coil depending on the resistance I want. With the 2mm wick, I just use 1 strand again with 3-5 wraps of coil.

Last night I made a couple of cotton wicks, just from some 100% cotton make-up removal pads the Wife had lying around. But you could just roll up some cotton wool ball too (make sure it's not treated though). Also DO NOT dry burn cotton.

The best piece of advice is get a multi-meter to test the reistance of your wick/coil.

The novas are easy to rebuild with a little practice, also quite satisfying to vape on something you've built yourself :)
