First off, a disclaimer: I'm brand new to the whole clearo-type cartos and am sure some mistakes were made on my part in what you are about to read.

In my quest to rid myself of polyfil being a part of my life, I naturally ended up looking at all the beautiful gadgets at GotVapes. After reading and reading and reading some more around ECF, I decided I was going to try the Stardust, the Phoenix, and the Vivi Nova.

I felt very lucky to get them all in time for camping trip this past weekend thinking I'd have nothing but time on my hands to give them each a good tryout. The morning we left for the trip, I thought it wise to throw all my tanks, clearos, etc. into a ziploc bag just to be safe in case something leaked. While that proved to be a wise decision, I soon regretted not separating all into several ziploc bags. The Vivi Nova emptied itself and I had a mess on my hands. Luckily I had a couple DCTs outside the bag for the drive and they didn't get leaked on.

I didn't have nearly as much free time as I thought while daylight was available. And sitting around the fire at night with my APV in one hand and my favourite beverage in the other didn't seem like the best time to attempt a major cleanup on all those tanks and clearos.

At lunch time today I began pulling things out of the bag as I craved the flavour they were filled with. Cleanup hasn't been the quite the monumental task I expected it to be so I reached for the poor, sticky Stardust.

Not only did it not leak a drop as it rolled around in the back of my truck suffocated in a sealed bag with all its friends and smothered by all my gear, but it was remarkably easy to clean up. On top of that, I spun it onto my APV and it worked like a champ! The first couple of draws were a little gurgly and tasted a lot like the juice that used to live in the Vivi but I also didn't bother taking the mouthpiece off and cleaning it up first.

I'm still waiting for the new version of the Vivi as I REALLY want to love that setup (I didn't have enough time with it to complain much and admit I haven't given it much of a chance). I'm also waiting for the new version of the Phoenix that I'm pretty sure I heard about that will be a great out of the box tank (think I got one with the nasty taste and admit I used it straight out of the box with no cleaning, etc.). But in the Stardust, I've already found my goto, right out of the box, no muss, no fuss, fill 'er up and go solution to my mild hatred of polyfil cartos. Taste is superb, vapour is awesome. Wish I had taken the time to wipe it off when I got to the campsite.

Thanks to all who recommended these!

Now if they only came 510 threaded....

Hi, there, and welcome to the club of Stardust devotees. I love them too. :)

About 510-threaded - you mean you want to put them on something other than the eGo? You can, you just need an adapter. I use them on the Provari all the time.

Thank you! :)

Yes, I'm using them on the Provari as well. Would just rather not have the adapter. Just kinda wishing aloud.

As one of those that did get a Vivi Nova that works fine Ive noticed a few things that you will learn after using one for awhile.
1 When removing the tank from your device ,make sure your not unscrewing the tank from the bottom piece [Good way to loose a tank of juice]
2 Occasionally check all screw fitting for looseness [could be why yours leaked]
3 On one occasion I had the head inside come loose [Probably just didn't tighten enough]
4 This thing is absolutely fantastic for ease of use,Vapor production, throat hit,and great flavor !
I have used this everyday all day since I received it and it performs like new still. Cleaning and dry burning is very easy and you can keep this unit in top shape.
I still have all the original heads and they all work fine,in fact I haven't even used the 1.8ohm head yet.
It performs best when you keep it topped off.
Don't give up on the VIVI it is one strong performer.

Ah, I see. :) Actually, that would be nice, as an option, come to think of it. Basically, the same thing, sans the skirt. I recently saw SteelJan's vid about adapters, and that made me think... I feel sorta stupid, but I can't figure out which end of the adapter is "fat" and which is "thin", and since they've been known to short out, I'm a little concerned.

I do actually stick Stardusts on thin batts - but, man, do they look stupid on there... LOL

Thanks for the advice. I haven't given up on it. I just have a lot of catching up to do with work and around the house after being gone for a week and haven't made time yet to get it all cleaned up and back in working order. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to devote a little energy to it and finish breaking in the first head. All in all I've no doubt that it only leaked due to my own ignorance.

I really just wanted to let those who may be considering the Stardust know that it IS definitely a worthy investment and works like a champ straight out of the box.
