The draw on a stardust is a tight and this is coming from a guy who puffs before inhaling. Always cough if I inhale as I draw, guess it is because I smoked cigars instead of cigarettes.
I guess it's a matter of personal preference... Like I said, I like it much better... 
BTW - I always inhale two-stage: first into my mouth, and then inhale. I didn't even know there was any other way. I just tried doing it straight and almost killed myself.
I also just now tried it on a cigarette - omg, I don't see how *anyone* could inhale that straight! And, other than the choking smoke, the draw on a cig is *way* too tight for that, imho, tighter than a Stardust! Ouch. Maybe that's why I like a tighter draw...

Just ordered a few Stardusts and a Phoenix tank. I can live with using an adapter for a little while until the new stuff comes in if it gets me away from that polyfil crap. We'll see how it goes.

During my 40 years of smoking cigarettes I always did the two-stage the same as you. I never knew that people did it the other way until I started reading about it when I joined ECF. Since I use low milligram nicotine is not that much throat hit especially if you inhale as you draw in. But if you draw in to your mouth and then you kind of pop your lips open when you inhale you can get more of the throat hit. Damn, it's really hard to describe. I hope that makes sense.
I didn't even know there were cigarette smokers who did two stage draws, I always draw right into my lungs both back when I smoked cigarettes and with vaping. just tried two stage with my PV and I don't care for it personally, no TH at all and a very small volume of vapor and level of flavor compared to a full draw.
When I let people try my e-cig they inhale as they draw then cough like crazy and ask how I handle it. When I tell them I puff then inhale they act like its weird so I assumed they were inhaling as they smoked as well

Actually, I just monitored myself, and I don't even draw the vapor into my lungs all that much - it sort of goes into my mouth, then into my throat for the TH, and then back out again, mostly. I think I smoked the same way. Not sure. Not going to light up another cig just to check - second hand smoke smell really bad in the house. It's funny, I really liked the taste of cigs, still do as a matter of fact, just don't indulge in it, but I *hate* the smell of the "used" smoke - it's just so gross in the house...

Hm. I experimented as usual, and I think I got it - basically you sort of "pop" extra air into your throat, and the whole kaboodle hits harder, right? I think I got it - you are right, the TH is better that way. Cool.
With cigs I always did the two stage method. With vaping, it's straight to the lungs. I heard somewhere that PG killed bacteria so I'm making sure the little .......s never get a chance to set up shop and give me pneumonia!
Briar - I think that depends greatly on what they're turning to ash.
Of the very few "normal" pipe smokers I've known, most did not inhale. I tried it once and it was 10 times worse than the first time I vaped. I really thought it would be nice and smooth as I've always loved the smell of pipe tobacco too. What a shock that was!

I was fortunate enough today to check the GV website at just the right times. I ordered some Stardusts and Phoenix tank earlier today and just a couple minutes ago saw that they had a few Vivi Novas up so I snagged one of those.
The bad news is that now I have to find a 510 to ego adapter. I don't think I have one of those and didn't see them on the website. Hopefully my local supplier has one laying around that he's willing to part with.
With any luck I won't end up having to ask a bunch of questions about how all these things work. I've read through the "Dummies" thread and watched a few videos so maybe I'll be able to figure it all out.

I agree, I am tired if polyfill. My first cartos were resurrectors and then I bought the fluxos. When i first got the fluxos I was dissappointed and wanted my resurrectors back. So I waited till my next paycheck and ordered a 5 pack of resurrectors and a cartos tank. As soon as I got em, I filled up the tank and vaped on it for about 2 hours. after that, it was like a lightbulb went off and I realized that loved the draw, taste and visibilty in juice of the ce2. Needless to say, my resurrectors and tank are now sitting in my drawer not being used. I also went ahead and ordered a box of CE3 XLs and they should be here for the weekend! No more pilyfill for me.
Next up on my list, build a rebuildable atty with bottom tank. Like the one from steeljan's YouTube video, or an atty tank. if i like this, i'll order a bully or one of those genesis ones (i think thats what they are called)

I've always two staged too. With vaping its more pronounced. The only thing I've ever direct inhaled is the lefty's years ago.
