Man, I've tried everything I know to stop this from happening and it still does it - not all the time but a lot of the time. I do not overfill - just to under the silicon cap, I don't overtip (just to get the wicks wet again) but ... bloody hell ... I love these things except for that one problem. Anyone else have this issue? I suspect not many as I don't see that bantered around much. The juice HAS to be coming down from the metal tube to leak through the battery end, right? Geez ... I'm extra careful to NOT over tip! Thought maybe it was when I was refilling them and getting juice down the tube but it can happen at any time. Any other tips/suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong? I know it's 'user error' ...

@ martinc - thanks for that tip! I could very well be over tightening these - will pay attention to this aspect as it makes the most sense.
@GWG73 - another good point - I'll try to be aware of when I release that button in relation to when I stop drawing on it. I think I usually release the button first but that's not something I really pay attention to.
@Chelly - nope, it is definitely coming out the battery end. I can see the juice sitting there at the hole after I unscrew it from the battery and soak up the juice that's sitting on the battery connection! Also if I twist up a little kleenex and stick it up the end of the SD, there is a lot of juice it soaks up from that end so I know that's where it is coming from. BTW - how are you liking those new clearos that you got? The ones that are fiddly to fill?

All in all, martinc may have solved the mystery! Sure hope so ...

Do I have to come over there and make sure you are doing it right!?!?! :p You should be able to turn them upside down without said battery leakage.....the drip tip should be coming into contact with the silicone that surrounds the coil and this creates a seal so the juice will not leak into the hole and run down the tube...I did drop one once and it fell on the drip tip, the result was the silver band at the top was pushed up a bit, I didnt think anything of it until i was getting gurgling, then i noticed that because the silver band was pushed up, the bottom of the drip tip was not sitting on the silicone inside therefore it was letting juice in the post (i just pushed the silver collar back down and fixed the problem. Just throwing that out there.

Besides that I have never had one of these leak on me. out of the 8 i own only 2 developed little cracks and only one of those leaks, I just uses some sealant to fix it. I must say though that I have slowly been moving back to cartomizers.

Ah okay, I hope you can figure it out. I had to give up on 'em. I did a big clean on an old one the other day and put some Malty Toffee in it and it's just way too much of a pain for me to move it around so much and keep it so full. I love the Smokeymizers. Love. One of the best vapes I've honestly ever had, the flavour is so clean and pure. I just wish they made a bigger sized one, or a tank that used a bottom coil and wick set-up just like it, or something! It sucks to have to refill every hour (I'm totally a tank person!) but the vape from them is worth it. I use 'em at home a lot.

They take finesse, Mac :p

Honestly there was quite a learning curve for them in terms of filling method but once I figured it out I've been oh so pleased

ya to be honest I completely messed up the filling thing when it came to those. I read later how i was supposed to fill them.

That's ... ahh ... quite possible ... :D Actually I think I MAY have found the problem. I took the one of them off the battery awhile ago, cleaned off the battery, cleaned off the SD and screwed it back on again. It's been sitting there unvaped for about half an hour or so. Just picked it up a minute ago to give it a vape and thought ... maybe I'll just unscrew it again and take a look. And there it was again ... another puddle of juice sitting on the battery! I didn't even vape on it after I cleaned it off!! So ... the juice is obviously leaking all by itself. After some serious close looking around the bottom of the damn thing, I can see what looks like tiny little air bubbles just up from the end of the tubing. There are 'bubbles' on both the SD's. So am wondering if there isn't some leakage happening there that is landing up going through the battery end? Wonder if there was a bad batch of them that went out as there have been a few threads here and there the last few days with other people complaining about the exact same thing happening. Dear God ... maybe I'm not crazy after all??

ya, sounds like they are defective :( That sucks, maybe you can get some replacements from the vendor?

Well, I figure that I06 atty he threw in is fair compensation and then some, ;) I have a couple more SD's on the way so hopefully they will be okay.

I am quite liking the I06, I am gonna grab a dual coil atty from Vaporus to try that out next.

While the OP's question may have been already answered sufficiently, I'd like to add my :2c:FWIW.

Firstly I always fill to above the wicks and rarely have any issue with leakage.....BUT,
yesterday while tasting half a dozen or ten new Juggies juices I had the leaking out the
connector end symptom like the OP did, with only a few of the different jooses.

Why does one joose leak but not the other? I thought?

After essentially power vaping on all the new flavours the SD was really quite warm at times and combined with
some of the thinner jooses (lower VG content) and the excessive heat of the SD the joose was just flowing
"too" well, in some cases....due to higher temps and lower viscosities. Dumping "cooler" "thinner" joose into a "hot" SD
was at the root of my problem along with the thin joose getting even thinner from heating.JMO.

May not have been the case in the OP's instance, but thought I'd throw it out there.:vapor::vapor:
